In American history, it can be expected that the party swing of majority in our govt. should go to the Democrats this time, but we have some new players on the field, that have shattered that paradigm!

With the new media now getting more and more listeners, and more perspective and truth getting out daily, the liberal bias is exposed and out in the open for all to see.  The "spin" on politics is unspun or even diverted before the spin can get out now.

The Global Warming theory that has pressed energy for decades has now come to a head, and out of nowhere we have a issue that takes front stage ahead of Iraq, war on terror, abortion, and all the other issues.  Other than Bush 1 who on executive order blocked all offshore exploration, the Democrats have obstructed any energy policy for over 30 years now.  EVERY registered voter now is affected by energy prices, and is now looking to who will be the one this election to bring "real change" to this issue.

The Democrats in the House and Senate promised lower gas prices 2 years ago, and have not delivered.  Usually that would not mean much, as Americans expect little to ever get done in Washington that directly impacts their "backyard" but gas prices have struck a nerve, and Pelosi and Reid now will have to fight to hold on to what majority they have.

Kennedy is sure to be gone after this last term, Sen. Kerry is fast loosing support at home, along with every other Democrat that ran to Hillary.  Harry Reid himself is not a popular man in NV.

I smell a McGovern style landslide comming, and this time it just might reach Capital Hill as well as the White House.

LOL! Well TJ the dirty little secret is Iraq is doing quite well, and if Democrats really want to make it about the war, then Obama and McCain can debate it... guess how thats gonna work out...

Obama, the man for "change" will be plastered with the defend the nation via the court system that actually crippled our actual intel on many, and the one guy who got away in 93, ended up finishing the job on 9/11!

I BEG the Democrats to come and debate the war!

Doing well???? We have only lost 17 lives so far this month. I would hate to see your definition of doing poorly. Its always easy to run your chops when its not your ass on the line. I can't wait to see the debates. Not that I am any kind of Obama fan I just want to see how McCain can defend such a mess.

Run my chops? I run them now TJ because back in my 20 years of service, including 4 tours in the Gulf with special forces, I SURVIVED, and NOW am here to meet the next call and that is to point the finger at who REALLY made this "mess!"

I find the "mess" is when liberals failed to want to count the dead during Clinton's administration. BTW- 17 dead this month alone, MATCHES the death rate of the USS COLE attack, which was the SECOND attempt to take out a ship in that same harbor, but Clinton on the first attempt (USS SULLIVANS) did NOTHING!!! I didn't see any liberals complain about Clinton and keep a count. The man lost over a thousand EVERY year of his entire 8 year administration!! STILL didn't let us fight.. STILL we didn't have armour, STILL didn't have good medical care, STILL didn't have a optempo/perstempo!

Now that a Republican is in office, the "counting" falls short of being sincere to ANYONE that is serving or has served!

Abunai,
You have me mistaken for a Clinton fan. The only part of Billarys reign I enjoyed was the relative economic sucess we had then. As for the mess that is Iraq if its 1, 17, or 4000 its too many American lives for a so-called free Iraq. McCain can never admit Iraq was a mistake even if it knows it in his heart of hearts. To do so would admit that all those Americans gave their lives for nothing.

You still employ the notion that going to Iraq was a mistake.

The fact is we had an obligation to be there as set forth in the cease-fire agreement between Iraq, Coalition forces, and the UN. Sadaam was breaching those resolutions as early as 1993 and we did nothing. We allowed our troops to be fired upon, blown up, taken as hostages, throughout the 90s. The "message" sent forth to our enemy(s) is NOT the message that liberals define it as.

Had we done our part in the early 90s, as we promised we would, the terrorist platform, and its support would have been much less, resulting in the world understanding early on what terrorist actions would envoke as a response. Instead we went out of our way to demonstrate a cowardous behavior, and emboldened our enemy(s). The very notion that terrorist should fear or respect the American legal system is a position of complete ignorance of our enemy! Bush had no choice but to engage.

Everyone that thinks Iraq and the remaining war on terror was going to remain isolated or even today that Iran is going to respect the UN after its lackluster demonstration of weak responses to their illicit activity is living in an alternative world, and we certainly owe our children more than partisan bickering and agenda at the expense of our defense in the process!

McCain landslide? Doubtful. TV media is still dominated by the democrats, and will provide Obama with air cover (no pun). Democrats will rally behind Obama, yes, even Hillary supporters, not because he is black, liberal, support CHANGE (whatever that means), but because he is not Bush. Talk radio (yes, more conservative) makes a little noise, but has no where near the influence of TV. Democrats do not have to actually deliver on anything anyway. As long as they can use the hatebush hatebush mantra (probably for about 10 years) their lemmings will keep them in power, in our pockets and make make sure we are politically correct.

Unless something really really big happens, the democrats will win the White House and get the 60 seats they want in the Senate.

Well mscsailor.. I submit that the "something really really big" is the price of oil and gas, and now has taken over every other topic of the election.

The Iraq war was conceded yesterday when Democrats didn't even put up a fight like they always do for funding.

I believe the media right now is covering the Democrats best they can, but that even that is erroding away faster then they can build it back up.

Notice how even with the new "crisis" with energy, the enviromentalist have not come out to say ANYTHING! They don't defend their positions, their association with the left, and the support for Global Warming theory is crumbling! The enviromental wackos were not much of a problem until their work landed 4 and 5 dollar gas in EVERYONES backyard, and now the people are fed up. Either the enviromentalist better step up and debate the topic from BOTH sides of the evidence, else they will be tossed out on their heads along with the Democrats that plactate to them.

Democrats with the old media art trying to defuse the oil issue, but end up getting caught in spin and lies:

Polar Bears.. spin and hoax
Glacier melts.. Disovered to be part of a computer animation for a movie taken and presented as news, and caught.
NOAA.. admits that weather stations are not properly established, and NASA has had to back away from its initial statments.
Al Gore's movie in Europe can't be shown unless balance is given with the other side with its facts.
China off the Florida coast.. Leaders say its not true, then we find that they have a lease and just not pumping yet, so the leaders LIED!
Millions of acres already given by govt. But WORTHLESS!

Yep, Remember the old phrase "Its the economy stupid" is defined today by energy prices, and Democrats are obstructing EVERYTHING!

Everybody in the military will vote for Obama. Everyone I've talk with at the VA supports Obama. Only the sicko, diehard, ex-want-to-be soldiers still support bush. Abunai is lying about being a soldier or psychotic if he believes our troops wants to be in Iraq. This war is in no way justified, and it has directly influenced the price at the gas pump. How dare these Bush-a-likes try to blame the democrats for high gas prices.
