for domestic security? what the hell is this? exactly how many steps is it from "domestic security" to "martial law"? i'm certainly not a conspiracty nut, but all it will take is somebody to do something stupid, and then, then we have problems... doesn't anybody study history anymore? am i the only one who sees how dangerous this is?

Its kinda funny how I always joke about having guns for when zombies attack...  Im wondering if these troops may be the "zombies"...  god I hope not!

This is what I am talking about Deadsound! An Issue here I see is civilians need there weapons one so they just dont end up victoms two if the over one million land based troops of china end up wanting in our lands the civilans will be the ones keeping our boarders safe cause our military is no where near that big. How ever this could be an issue of internal take over to who ever ownes these troops....

Either which way you are a really good friend but if the zombies are chasing us I am tripping you !!!! LOL JK JK JK JK!!!!

So fellas, if the military doesn't do it who will, Blackwater security?? And as far as the numbers being small.... another great reason for the draft. Martial law??? I don't think that is a worry. There would be a asassanation first. The scope I see here will be 2 fold.... not only a reaction force but troops to put at our borders, which by the way seems to be the most common cry. Protect our borders that is.

humm!

the army was in new orleans following katrina. remember most of our guardsmen are over seas fighting terrorists.

our army was along the border building fence earlier (carefully so not to damage old treaties)

we know we have thousands of foreign/home grown terrorist inside usa .... in war time a nation does the best she can with what she has. im tired of grippers!!!!

Dawg...

Hey man! First I want to say thank you for doing what you do man! I grew up in a Military family, and I am thankfull you guys are over there taking care of buisness!

So What deadsound and I are saying is Obama will have control over these troops... And they will do his bidding. I am sure you caught that however, these people will be so in love if you will with Obama it will be like the general being able to over run the country because his army is loyal only to him. I dont see why he does not make 20,000 bew Police jobs instead of a us police force ya know???

Exactly Dcharge, what I believe they should do is take the money that they would be paying these 20k troops and set up a grand fund for departments. that would probably pay to put 10-15k more police on the streets, and keep our military free to do other things. It would be pretty simple. If a department can prove that they are conducting required trainings, the money would be available to them, if it can not be proven, they dont get the money. Divide that money up based on population in the area the department patrols, and there ya go! simple solution that would make everybody happier!
