On a previous post of mine someone said that people change their views ever so often which leads them to go from liberal to Conservative or Conservative to Liberal. I wanted to expound on that a little bit. I was quite liberal when I first developed a political ideology at 6 but by the time I was 10 I had become quite conservtive leading to me on the verge of supporting Bush in 2000. After the Iraq war started and I began to see how messed up conservative ideals are I became quite a bit more liberal which is where I am now. There is a chance I might at some point become quite conservative in the future statistically.

This is just one example of how people's political ideology can change. Now the question is When did you develop your political ideology? How do you develop it? Why?

Most Far-Leftist Liberals usually do think at a 6-year-old level. You're still there. Does anybody believe this guy???

They were probably developing their political ideology in the womb, yes?

at 6 I was playing little league JFK was in the whitehouse everybody loved him for some reason after he was assassinated and Johnson came in i still didn't care and was playing little league..I remember liking Goldwater who lost by a landslide ..i do remember liking Nixon who was all about America against a bunch of liberal dirt bags and gutless draft dodgers and hippies who were destroying this country..even after Nixon leaving office Ford did a great job til Carter came in and sold us out like every single scumbag coward this country fought against..he never met a dictator he didn't like..and shamed our country with dealing with Iran like a coward...Then came Reagan who on the day he was inaugurated our hostages were let go from Iran ..because we had a real man in the whitehouse..he gave this country back its dignity and respect in the world ..after he was gone we got Bush senior ..a wimp as Regan said placating the democrats in return getting their wrath..then Bill Clinton the worst piece of cowardly crap ever ..an ex hippie liberal who in his first two years almost totally destroyed this country ..thank God for a republican congress.that kept that backwoods idiot in check and now this Bush ..another wimp like his father ..who gives a damn about looking good in his daddy eyes at the expense of the wishes of the American people..now what?..anyone other then a coward democrat ..you know the ones you support

While I think it is alot harder beintg a liberal than a conservative. Life would be so much easier if everything fit into absolute categories like U.S. good, any country we don't like evil. Its much harder to just support principles than countries because we naturally gravitate to supporting countries.

If you hate liberals so much who do you hate more Clinton or Carter?

Just cause the Dems aren't as nationalistic as they were in the days of LBJ doesn't really make them wrong it just makes them more pragmatic. I think that kind of humility is what all nations need.

I have been reading about the polygamist story reminds me a bit of Waco. I still think mormosism is a little crazy. I mean I think people should be allowed to grow up and pick what they believe not be brainwashed like this. Its abhorent.

If I saw the world more in black and white with less nuance I guess I could be conservative but no matter how hard I try I always see both sides of an argument probably why I am liberal.

I don't know if it's harder being a Liberal. You just have to be really screwed up...

polygamy is a republican idealogy.

when your secluded from society,& there's more old men than old women, and the children wear pioneer outfits...

...then there's bound to be some child fu..king going on!

I tend to agree with you Beep Beep though I think with a male dominated society polygamy and abuse would be more common.

No No No. My first question about the whole affair is,"how many of the people in the Compound are here in the country....Illegally?"

whats right is right whats left is wrong..carter was a complete humiliation to this nation he never met a dictator he didn't like he caved in to every opponent to this country..but in his defence at least he had the guts to serve his country that's more than you can say for slick willie that liberal dirt bag spent his youth writing letters on how much he loathed the military then when he got in he sent our soldiers to more place on earth than any peacetime president that coward didn't mind spilling blood as long as it wasnt his..he is by far worse than Carter on that aspect his liberal policies at least gave us a republican congress and the budget got balanced..and that idiot took the credit for it ..his wife is worse with no morals or standards she did nothing after her husband humiliated her in front of an entire nation but she was so aimed at her own presidential ambitions..then there is Obama the black Jimmy Carter only worse he never served has a racist pastor and in his short time in office has tried to put through 58 pork barrel bills and has the most liberal record in he senate..I hate all liberals bar none I hate their ACLU loving asses none not one has anything to contribute to our society..

DemBoy: I'll give you an answer. These other two are way of topic. I like what a friend of mine once said, "everyone is conservative but about different things." For example: a co-worker is a democrat but is anti-abortion and hates Planned Parenthood. The Republican that thinks birth-control is a good idea and wants his kids to be informed about STDs. Or the conserve. who was a protester in the 60s and is now a right wing journalist.

No Dm, they DemBoy and BB just wanted to bag on white, inbred hillbilly Mormons, who are probably Republicans, that's all. We can get around to that later, don't ruin this blog, this has a lot of potential to find out a lot of stuff about the Compound AND what goes on in certain cities in our country. We do need to view this to analyze DemBoy's hypothesis.

I am a Freshman at UW Madison. I believe in real solutions to real problems. I didn't see the Republicans offering any of them so I a gave the Democrats a chance to do something. I believe both parties are too polarized now to get things done so I think moderates are needed. I am a moderate liberal. I spent months deciding who to support in the presidential election but I finally have decided to vote for Senator Barrack Obama. I love studying world problems, playing tennis, playing video games and now blogging.
