Denver native and Olympic hopeful David Oliver is one of the fastest men alive. But when he was going to Denver East High School the coaches practically had to drag him onto the track. But once Oliver discovered world class speed was in his blood, it was enough to twist his arm and to blaze his own lane.

It's good to see someone doing a story on Track. Especially with the Olympic Games coming up very soon. He's definitly capable of making the Olympic team. Allen Johnson is past his prime and Trammell hasn't been running so fast lately. We'll see in Oregon.

Yes he seems very focused and humble. Maintaining that type of energy should serve him well. As a former trackster myself who competed on a team of athletes--many of whom later became Olympians (i.e. Marion Jones)--I know it's posssible for the best of them to lose their way. Thank goodnes for Oliver he seems to be grounded by a great family, and a great coach.
