Mark Schlereth
has quite a resume.
The 3 time
Super Bowl champ has parlayed his celebrity as well as any former
athlete. He's one of the best football analysts in the business. He
has a recurring role on the soap opera The Guiding Light. He's the front
man for a new brand of green chili, and he's pitching a proposal to have his
family in a reality series.
When he
told me about this at his house yesterday---I had to laugh.
The
Schlereths aren't the Osbournes or some other dysfunctional family. None of
them has been to jail, and none of them has been to rehab.
A reality
series on Mark's family would be the equivalent of having a reality series on the
Waltons. He's got a beautiful and supportive wife. His son might be a
1st round pick in this year's baseball draft. One of his daughter's is an
aspiring actress, and his other daughter in high school.
The Schlereths seem to be the perfect family in a television world that loves to exploit imperfections.
I don't know if this series will sell, but if it doesn't, the man they call "stink" will have no problems selling his stinkin' good green chili.
