Mark Schlereth has quite a resume.

The 3 time Super Bowl champ has parlayed his celebrity as well as any former athlete. He's one of the best football analysts in the business. He has a recurring role on the soap opera The Guiding Light. He's the front man for a new brand of green chili, and he's pitching a proposal to have his family in a reality series.

When he told me about this at his house yesterday---I had to laugh.

The Schlereths aren't the Osbournes or some other dysfunctional family. None of them has been to jail, and none of them has been to rehab.

A reality series on Mark's family would be the equivalent of having a reality series on the Waltons. He's got a beautiful and supportive wife. His son might be a 1st round pick in this year's baseball draft. One of his daughter's is an aspiring actress, and his other daughter in high school.

The Schlereths seem to be the perfect family in a television world that loves to exploit imperfections.

I don't know if this series will sell, but if it doesn't, the man they call "stink" will have no problems selling his stinkin' good green chili.

I think it's great to portray decent, successful people instead of freaks in a reality show. Mr. Schlereth is such a good roll model for our boys who follow sports- I wish there were more like him. And I have to say, at the risk of sounding like a GIRL, I'm a 40-something Mom and I think he's a very handsome man- it doesn't hurt! LOL!

Oh, thats so funny, Mr. Goodman! We are big sports fans here, and we all thought that- it's nice to hear from the "horse's mouth" that he is as good as he seems!

Caught you last night commentating the Rockies- it was great to win one of those! My husband is wondering where George Frazier is- just taking a break?

Nice talking w/you.

I'm a big fan of #69. Mark Schlereth was part of the crew that launched TD into the record books, kept #7 healthy, and won us a couple of titles. Best O-Line in the history of the game, IMO.

If I were the PR guy in charge of the Mark Schlereth Brand, I might see reality TV as a step backwards. True, RTV would increase his exposure (and revenue), but it puts him in the same category with FlavaFlav, Britt Michaels and Dog the Bounty Hunter. Like my teenage daughter says, EEW.

I mean, I'm no marketing ace (I fix houses), but seeing one of my all-time favorite Broncos on MTV or VH1 would be kind of like passing him going into the adult video store
(not that I've ever been...I'm just making an example).

I understand that this sort of production causes significant damage to the neighborhood, the house, the property, and not to mention the family.

Tell "Stink" I said BAD IDEA, Mr. G. (with all due respect)...

A) It's doubtful that there's enough drama in the Schlereth household to fulfill the needs of the people who watch (and produce) reality tv, and

2) If there isn't enough drama, the producers will create some. Does he really want that?

My advice would be to pursue the acting thing. The man clearly has a presence, and he presents himself well on screen. I ain't no nancyboy, but I can see why the women love him. Jerk.

The good people at ESPN and the Guiding Light (who make a lot more money than I do) agree with me wholeheartedly on that subject, or else Mark would be jobless. Pursue real acting, dude. Leave reality tv to the needy (I personall

(I personally think that he would make an excellent villain in a James Bond movie).

BTW-I tried some of that stinkin' good green chili he's fronting...it was pretty dang good.

By the way, Mr. G:

If he does do the reality tv thing, and they do trash his house, have him look up

Best home repair people in the business (& BIG Bronco fans).
