Staff Sgt. Anthony D. Davis, 29, died Tuesday in Northern Iraq from wounds suffered when he was shot by enemy forces, officials said. Davis was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, out of Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, Ga.

A large pro-Hamas/Anti-Israel rally is scheduled Sat at Lake Eola in Orlando.  In fact, they are busing protestors in from South Fla, Tampa, etc!!!   I never thought I'd see the day when people could openly support a terrorist group who wants to destroy Ameica at home!!

Is the media quiet on this so counter-demonstrations won't be held???

Just read a great post here from lisawfamily about the old I Love Lucy show, and it got me thinking.  What are you favorite comedy tv shows of all time?  Which would you even maybe buy the DVD for?

My favorites off the top of my head:  (no particualar order)

Carol Burnett Show....Watching Tim Conway and trying to make Harvey Corman crack up was tooooo funny!!!!!  Or when he played the old may rolling down the stairs!

I Love Lucy....of course, that has to be there!

3's Company...John Ritter was great!!

The Honeymooners ...  WGN had a Honeymooners marathon on over the holidays!!  "To the moon Alice!!!!!!!!"

Bewitched....  OK....I use to have the hots for Elizabeth Montgomery...a shame she died so young

Dean Martin Roasts...not for children....but loved Foster Brooks playing the drunk!!

Andy Griffith...good, clean comedy still funny today!!   Don Knots with his mussed up hair??

Yea....I know...I dated myself.  Some of you will say "what's the Honeymooners"???????

Enough already!!  Once again, riding the motorcycle to work today, a car started coming into my lane....because she was busy texting!!!! 

Talking on the phone while driving is bad enough.  Hands free is NOT the answer.  It's not the holding the phone, it's the mental distraction!  Anyone who talks on their cell while driving will tell you (if honest) they have probably driven to work, home, shopping, etc while on the cell, and DON'T REMEMBER driving!!!

But the texting is 10 times worse!!  You are reading/typing while driving 70 mph down the interstate????  Are you totally NUTS!!!  And stats show the teenagers are the worst!  Add that to the fact they are also the most inexperienced drivers, and that equals BIG TROUBLE!!

I did come across some prototype devices that basically "jam" your cell in the car (designed for parents with teen drivers)....guess we will see those commercials soon.

Just as bad...COPS!!  They read/type on their computers while driving!!  An OPD friend told me you'd be surprised how many cops have run into things because they were typing/reading the computer screen instead of paying attention to their driving!

BOTTOM LINE:  ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!  Time for legislatures to GET SERIOUS ABOUT TRAFFIC SAFETY!!  NO TEXTING WHILE DRIVING!!!

OUCH, OUCH, OUCH!!! Guess you don't mess with women from Deltona (or Lake Helen I hear)!!   Stories between the husband and wife vary, but one thing they agree on...SHE BIT IT!!!!!!

What is wrong with the weather page on the Fox 35 site?  It says 8pm, partly cloudy and 73 degrees!!  It IS 7:23 pm, 12-22-08, CLEAR and according to other sites, 49 degrees!!!!!

I have noticed this many times.  The radar is not accurate, nor the temperature!!  What gives??

The metro-Orlando area has once again broken the number of record murders...123 so far this year, passing the previous 121 two years ago.

Would I be called a racist if I pointed out that the majority of these killings were by minorities, far in excess to the percentage of the population?  Would I be a racist if I noted that the crime rate has really taken off since many Katrina "victims" moved to central Fla?   By some accounts, I'm sure I would be...at least called that.

What is the solution?  More cops?  Then why do they cops still spend time trying to shut down the Orlando Weekly and massage parlors when the crime rate continues to climb?

Is there a soluteion??  Anyone out there have an idea?

The unions, which gave not only Obama but many Democrats running for office tens of millions of dollars are now pushing for a return on their investment.

Known as the "Free Choice Act", it would prohibit secret ballots when voting if a union will or will not move in.   More likely,  it will allow union goons to threaten and intimidate those voting "NO" to a union to get them to change their vote!!!  Why else would the union be pushing for an open vote??  With the current secret ballot, management cannot intimidate employees to vote "no", nor can unions threaten employees to vote "Yes".  The ONLY reason for this is to give unions more control!!

Of course, Obama and the Dems are supporting this act.  Guess when he said "Change", he meant changing freedom for intimidation!!

While at work today, a few idiot Democrats are crying about how Bush has put us in a recession and ruined the economy.  So I played along with them.  It went something like this:

Me:  "Your're absolutely correct.  The current government has screwed is all up"!

Them:  "You got that right.  People starving and they are giving our money to the banks and next, the big 3!!!!"

Me:  "You're right again.  But only congress can spend money.  The President can't spend a dime."

Them:  "Yea!!  They are the WORST!!!"

Me:  "yes, they are the real ones that got us in this mess!  Things we're pretty good until about 2 years ago"!

Them:  "Amen"!!

Me:  "Course, you know who runs the congress don't you"?

Them:  "More damn republicans, just like Bush"!!!

Me:  BIG SMILE....  "Nope, the damn Democrats!!!!  They have for the past 2 years."

Them:  Look of disbelief!  "Really"???

And THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is todays Democrat!!!  All you have to do is nail them down with a few facts, and they are up that creek without the paddle!!

Arson...that is the official word on a fire that caused a million dollars worth of damage to the Church Palin attends, and was set while people were inside!!!

I'd bet it was one of those loving, wonderful, open-minded liberals, but that's just me!

Seems Patti Blagojevichm, wife of the recently arrested Illinois govenor, is also under investigation for her real estate dealings, and schemed to cash in on her husband's job and punish those who got in her way.  (Sounds like Bill and Hillary)!!!!

The B. Hussein handlers are busy trying to distance the messiah from any fallout over his relationship to Blagojevichm..

How much you want to bet this will all go away as soon an the chosen one gets into office?  How much you want to bet neither will see one day in jail???

The Republicans in the Senate were able to stop the "Big-3" bailout when the UAW REFUSED to promise to any wage concessions!!  Of course, Nancy Pelosi called the the Republicans "irresponsible"!   

The UAW, making $75 an hour, REFUSES any wage concessions but the Republicans are the "irresponsible" ones???   Guess the union would rather be without a job at all than take a cut in pay!!!

Not to worry however.  The Dems have promised to take this up again in January.  After they increase their seats after inaguration, they will be able to put together enough votes to payback their UAW brothers they have been in bed with forever!!  

Those of us making $20 an hour will get to bailout those making $75!!  UAW employees will continue to get over a million a year from their healthcare program in Viagra!!  Only in America!!

Seems Gov Crist felt the names submitted for consideration for the open seat on the 5th District Court of Appeals was not "diverse" enough because it didn't contain a black for consideration.  The committee that chose the 6 names to the govenor from 26 that applied has told the govenor to basically "go pound sand".

Affirmative actions hard at work here!!  Personally, I want the MOST QUALIFIED fire department responding to my home...the MOST qualified cop, the MOST qualified pilot, doctor, teachers, etc!!   I DO NOT want them there because of their sex or color!!!

Because 3 of the 26 that applied happened to be black, why should any of them be given consideration only due to their race?  What have a commission to review applications and select BEST QUALIFIED if you are only selecting on race or sex???

Personally, I don't care what color the judge, cop, fireman, teacher, etc is.  After 24 years in the military, I learned long ago I want the BEST QUALIFIED covering my butt, not one there due to their sex or color!!

Time to END affirmative actions!!  Promote the BEST QUALIFIED.  If the BEST QUALIFIED was NOT promoted due to sex or race, they take action!  But lets not have a blanket policy of promotion for reasons other than qualification!

Is he or isn't he?  I have no idea, but there is enough doubt out there to make you wonder why he continues to refuse to release his birth certificate and college admissions.

Thinking about it, if he is NOT a citizen, thinking the entire thing would "go away", he was wrong.  It won't go away until he produces documentation.  So I wondered, if he really ISN'T a citizen, it will be found out.  So what does he have to gain to keep covering this up.

The only thing I could come up with is he is stalling until the Electoral College votes on Dec 15.  After all, should it be shown before then he was NOT eligible, would the delegates still be committed to vote for him??  Not a lawyer, but I don't think so!  They could be free to vote for McCain, which the DNC would be afraid some would do.

The only other thing I can think of is he is waiting until after Jan 20th.  Again, the Dems would still control congress and the White House.  He could resign, and Biden and the Dems would still be in charge.

Why else would he refuse to end this controversy today?????  Do you think the courts should require proof?
