Thanks to global warming, I have depleted approximately ten percent of my firewood stash and it isn't even Thanksgiving yet, for Pete's sake.
Some of this wood I've had since the end of the 2004 hurricane season. Al, you're killing me. Friends, get out there and let your cars idle, PLEASE. Gas is cheap now and it will help warm things up. Throw away (I mean, recycle) those CFL light bulbs. Get your incandescents out again.
The temperature went below freezing at 11pm at Gainesville Regional and it was 29 at 5am.
And how about those poor people in Cleveland? I guess they won't be growing citrus in Ohio anytime soon, will they?

Perhaps there IS a glimmer of hope at the end of the long, dark tunnel for the true conservatives. With any kind of luck - and some very hard work - we may actually be able to bring the Republican Party back from the precipice at which time I will proudly change my voter registration back to "R" from "NPA".
Sean Hannity interviewed Newt Gingrich yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon on his radio show. When asked by Sean, Speaker Gingrich did not DENY the fact that he may consider running for president in 2012.
Hannity and Gingrich also discussed the fact that Michael Steele (former governor of Maryland and chairman of GOPAC) may be in the running for chairman of the GOP.
There may be hope yet for our Republican Party. God forbid - Republicans actually behaving like conservatives. We shall keep our fingers crossed.

President-elect Obama is calling for another stimulus package to help to jump-start the economy.
Does he NOT see that our brethren at OPEC and the "evil" oil companies have already given us a stimulus in the form of gasoline prices being one-half what they were four months ago?
Mark FloydFreak's words...
The fall of oil prices will do more to resurrect the economy than ANYTHING that the government can or will do - and it WILL. And Lord Obama will ride off into the sunset taking ONE HUNDRED PERCENT OF THE CREDIT.

So, those of you left-wingers that envy the wealth of the rich and successful...
...I want to offer you a thought:
If you want the rich man's money so badly, why don't you EARN it? Go to WORK for the rich man; prove your worth. THAT's the best way to get his money.
Why do you think that having the government take the rich man's money and give it to you is the preferable way to go?

...not God bless America. God DAMN America."
You Osama supporters just remember those words when you pull the lever for his highness.
Personally, the mere THOUGHT of those words makes me retch.

I defined the word "demagogue" for you a few days ago. Here's another one for you.
Former Secretary of State Lawrence Eagleburger used the word "CHARLATAN" to describe his most merciful, the almighty, lord Obama this evening on the Huckabee show.
"CHARLATAN" is described as follows by Merriam-Webster:
1
: quack 2
2
: one making usually showy pretenses to knowledge or ability
: fraud
,
faker
I believe that Secretary Eagleburger was being overly flattering toward Osama, but he received a hearty applause from the studio audience.
You're up, Scooby...

Check this out, friends. Now our tax dollars are being used to BUS VOTERS TO THE POLLS!
Alachua County, being the liberal haven that it is, has used county school buses to bus students to the polls so that they could vote.
Isn't THAT special?
"That point of view is apparently shared by a large number of Eastside seniors. Thursday, 23 of them boarded a school bus and rode across town to the Millhopper Branch Library to vote for the first time."

Anyone with half a brain (which leaves out a few on the left that frequent these boards) knows that the "drive-by" media have an obvious bias toward liberalism. One need only scratch the surface to find obvious examples - such as the FACT that Barack Osama gets a pass on his radical associations (we already know who they are so I shall not detail them here).
I quit watching CBS television network news years ago when it became obvious that Dan Rather was in the tank for the libs. I have watched Katie Couric ONCE - just for sh**s and grins. I quit watching NBC when the aforementioned Ms. Couric was still on the Today show. Until earlier this year, I watched Charlie Gibson on ABC's World News Tonight as well as an occasional peek at Good Morning America. However, during the presidential primaries earlier this year, I gave up on ABC after Gibson, et al revealed their own brands of bias.
My favorite (conservative) talk radio station in Gainesville (97.3FM WSKY) is an ABC Radio News affiliate and I had a run-in with them last week over a story that the network ran. I e-mailed the GM and the news director and they forwarded my comments to the manager of radio news with the network. Now, at the top of the hour when they run the network feed, I change stations.
I now get all of my non-local TV news from Fox News.
Which brings me to my idea:
Those of you that feel as I do (there must be a couple of you), here is what I suggest - watch the network TV news broadcasts (keep a bucket close by) once or twice and make note of the companies that are advertising.
Then contact those companies via mail, e-mail or whatever and let them know that you will not patronize their companies as long as they are advertising on these biased networks.
I honestly believe that there are enough of us to make a difference if we get the word out. Once the advertisers start realizing that it might impact their bottom line, it will trickle down to the networks who will realize that their revenues are being affected.
Hey, look at what has happened to the newspaper industry. ABC, NBC, and ABC...you are being put on notice.

Kudos to Barbara West, anchorwoman for Channel 9 WFTV out of Orlando.
She's the one that put Joe Biden on the ropes with her knockout punch question regarding Osama and his Marxist leanings. She asked Buden why Osama's mission to "spread the wealth around" is NOT Marxist.
Of course, she is now being called every name in the book by the libs. I'm sure that they'll now try to trash Mrs. West just as they have tried to do with Governor Palin and Joe the Plumber.
Hey Yellowduck: As an aside, have you noticed? She's very attractive. Go figure,

When it is Barack Obama.
Here is a presidential candidate who has, on more than one occasion, expressed a desire to "spread the wealth".
But of course, when called on it, the Obama fires back that the question is unfair. This coming from the same people that see nothing wrong with spreading misinformation about Sarah Palin's pregnant daughter.
I say "BRAVO" to Barbara West for calling it like it is!

IMHO, the recent drop in gasoline prices is the only piece of good economic news. With all of the doom-and-gloom, this cannot help but have a positive influence on the economy in general as it serves to put more money in the wallets of consumers - in much the same manner as a "stimulus check".
Well, along come our good buddies at OPEC. It seems that they are perturbed by the drop in the price of crude oil. So, true to form, OPEC is supposed to meet tomorrow (Friday) to discuss production cuts in order to shore up the price.
Once a terrorist, always a terrorist. It really doesn't matter if they're destroying our economy by flying airliners into skyscrapers OR by manipulating the price of oil which has a direct impact on the economy (remember the evil speculators?). So, just when there may be a beacon of light at the end of the recessionary tunnel, here's OPEC to squelch it.
You people that do not wholeheartedly support Newt Gingerich's "Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less" are MORONS. And THAT's a FACT!

I heard that conservative protesters at an Obama rally (was that in the Bay Area?) were waving sink plungers, which gave me an idea:
Why not display a plunger on your vehicle to show your support for Osama's plan to "spread the wealth"?
I drive a company vehicle so I have to be careful about displaying McCain bumper stickers on it. But, hey, who can say anything about my having a plunger on the shelf inside the rear window?
My buddy, Steve, is a painting contractor in Gainesville. He told me that he drove around all day Tuesday with a plunger stuck to the roof of his van and that he got several honks and thumbs-up's from people.
As Steve said, the Joe the Plumber phenomenon could be anyone; fill in the blank: Joe the _______. Joe the Electrician, Joe the Painter, Joe the Salesman, etc., etc.
Osama stepped in it and it is incumbent upon the McCain campaign to drive it home.
Speaking of stepping in "it", I suggest using sink plungers (typically orange in color) and not toilet plungers (usually black) if you're going to display it IN your vehicle.
Honk for Joe!
