President-elect Obama is calling for another stimulus package to help to jump-start the economy.

Does he NOT see that our brethren at OPEC and the "evil" oil companies have already given us a stimulus in the form of gasoline prices being one-half what they were four months ago?

Mark FloydFreak's words...

The fall of oil prices will do more to resurrect the economy than ANYTHING that the government can or will do - and it WILL. And Lord Obama will ride off into the sunset taking ONE HUNDRED PERCENT OF THE CREDIT.

Silly boy.

The evil oil giants robbed us of billions and are not giving us anything except some of OUR stolen money back. Do you thank the thief who stole $100 if he gave you back $10 and kept the 90? Give us back 90 and we'll let you keep 10....proper distribution of wealth I believe it is called.

You are right about King Barry O'B....he will save us and he will deserves credit for it. We need CHANGE!!!

Actually Obama is neither Lord, nor King, but he is the United States President elect. Now is the time to be supportive of his endeavors rather than attemting to tear him down with preconceived notions of ridicule! Damian.

Oh, please forgive me, Lord Stone.

Listen, bub...if you haven't noticed, this is my first post since the election. If I wanted to slam him, I would've done so Tuesday night.

I give him a great deal of credit and I will be supportive until he does something to prove himself unworthy of said support.

Unlike many conservatives, I have not become suicidal over his win. On the other hand, I am not thrilled with his choices of support staff.

Time will tell but, again, I shall remain supportive - in spite of Wright, Ayers, et al.

Barry just wants Dumbo to twist in the wind a bit more, Hawk.

Is it possible that Dick and Dumb could actually DO something GOOD in their last two months? Doubtful, but BHO can at least hope.

Before they slink into the sunset like the pair of serpents they are, I predict they will pardon any crime of their minions and of themselves (not an easy task but the law has never stopped them before), engorge the coffers of their fat cat buddies a bit more and trample the good name (what's left of it) OF THE COUNTRY into the mud once again.

At least we are getting a CHANGE!

YEH! At a juicy 8% profit! WEEEEEEE! I make 87.5x that amount on my goods. I must be 87.5x more evil! Woohoo!

"Before they slink into the sunset like the pair of serpents they are, I predict they will pardon any crime of their minions..."

You mean like Clinton did at 11:30pm on his last night in the oval orifice?

Floyd,

You are right! As the prices of fuel come down, the effect will ripple right across the entire economy. Price of transport will come down and the price of items made from petroleum will come down. That alone will have a huge impact! I hope it will be enough to offset those idiots that "invested" in homes they knew they couldn't afford!

You may be seeing a "stimulus" at this point in time over prices at the pumps, but you can bet that BHO had nothing to do with it. The prices will go up, as they are starting to do now, the stock market will go down, and the un-employment figures will be on a sharp rise. With all of these figures in play, Barack will have to give those making under $150,000.00 a stimulus check each month just to survive. However, he was much against Bush, when Bush sent out his "stimulus" checks. What makes his checks any different?

By the time that BHO is sworn into office, the whole country will be in a downspin, and of course, he will say that he inherited it, and it seems, that he will be putting all of the blame on the Bush administration even after he said that he would make it right as soon as he got into office. Well, BHO the time is coming real soon to show us one of your first promises.

Everyone says that he will be "tested." indeed he will and not just over foreign policy, but here at home as well. As I see it, this country is in for a "wild ride", if BHO's administration should last so long.

After all is said and done, YOU CAN'T BLAME ME!

The fall in oil prices will help the economy more than any stimulus package ever could. Who gets the credit or wo gets the blame is a secondary issue. We should all concentrate on surviving long enough to see another presidential election. Anything could happen.

I am your normal, middle-class, "working Joe". But I am also a capitalist and believe that nothing good comes from socialistic entitlement programs. I believe in hunting down and killing terrorists like the little rats that they are (except that that statement is denigrating to rats). I grew up in a very conservative household and was fortunate enough to have had a conservative American Government teacher (a retired US Army colonel) who helped to show me the "right" way. Are there things that I would like to change? Absolutely. But NOT the kind of "change" being espoused by Hillarock Obaminton. I have lived in Florida for forty of my forty-eight years. I've been a big Pink Floyd fan since my teen years hence the moniker, FloydFreak. My friends call me Freak, Floyd, and FF. The libs call me a neocon. I wear that badge proudly. Please note that I enjoy engaging in spirited discussion - even with those with whom I disagree. There are a number of individuals on these boards whom I respect even if I DO think that they're out of touch with reality. Please note also that I do not tolerate personal attacks on my character. If you think that I'm full of BLEEP, you have the right to say so. But drag my character into the gutter and expect retaliation in kind with FloydFreak's own brand of sarcasm. Keep it civil and we'll get along fine. To those of you that see good in America and want the OPPORTUNITY for prosperity for all - and do not just seek to soak it to "the rich", I say God bless you. And God bless America!
