Perhaps there IS a glimmer of hope at the end of the long, dark tunnel for the true conservatives. With any kind of luck - and some very hard work - we may actually be able to bring the Republican Party back from the precipice at which time I will proudly change my voter registration back to "R" from "NPA".

Sean Hannity interviewed Newt Gingrich yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon on his radio show. When asked by Sean, Speaker Gingrich did not DENY the fact that he may consider running for president in 2012.

Hannity and Gingrich also discussed the fact that Michael Steele (former governor of Maryland and chairman of GOPAC) may be in the running for chairman of the GOP.

There may be hope yet for our Republican Party. God forbid - Republicans actually behaving like conservatives. We shall keep our fingers crossed.

Mr. Hypocrite himself?

The same guy who railed against the "immoral" Bill Clinton while he cheated on his cancer stricken wife, even serving her with divorce papers while she lay in her hospital bed?

The only thing better for Barry in '12 would be for the VP to be Rush, the other poster child of the hypocrites......"I hate drug abusers (unless I'm one of them)"

Good idea Freak but what the 'pubs need to do is distance themselves from the false "moral majoritites" and pick honest people for a change...any NEW ideas?

You took the words right out of my mouth Yellowdog.

Obama would be a shoe-in against Newt.

Perhaps Ron Paul's son should get into politics. Quick!

This is hilarious FF! Thanx for the comedy relief! Great follow up YD! I could just see the campaign logo ...

Gingrich/Limbaugh 2012; don't you think we are just swell!

This would no doubt be a guaranteed landslide victory for Obama/Biden! Damian!

I won't rant about how much it annoys me that the Media NOW gives Ron Paul a voice, but here's an article I found about his thoughts for the GOP getting back on track if you'd like to read it:

I thought it could be considered 'on topic', but if you disagree FloydFreak, feel free to delete this.

Even Obama/Palin could beat those two.

Newt's marriage was troubled before the divorce. That much was well known. He wasn't doing like Clinton did though. Bill sat in the oval office and smiled at Hillary and told her...

"No baby, I won't do you wrong again. I promise! Cross my heart! No more Jennifer Flowers or Paula Jones. You know I love you baby!"

...all the while, Monica was hiding under the desk! Then he looked into a camera, shook his finger and told us all...

"I DID NOT have sexual relations with that woman, Mrs Lewinsky!"

Newt is a saint compared to Bill!

Moo,

Sequels rarely do better than the original. In this case you can't do much worse that Paul did.

failure to recognize hypocrisy is a failure of character more egregious than the deed itself.

Bill never condemned anyone from fiddling around but Newt sure did...while HE was doing the same evil deed.

Being a two faced sneak and liar is worse than dipping your cigar a time or two.

Were he and his wife still making footsie like Bill and Hill were? Not hardly.

Did Newt compound the act by lying about it on camera to all of America and Congress too? Not hardly.

If you'll excuse me now, because of your cigar comment and my footsie comment, I need to go poke out my mind's eye!

I've heard it said that 'Daddy the Republican' historically keeps 'Mommy the Democrat' from spending all of our money. For some reason, this all changed around backwards over the past decade or so like some bizzaro world. The Republicans lost many of their base supporters as a result of not espousing Conservative policies. If you do not have the cash, you cant spend any money. Don't just turn up the printing press so it spits out $100 bills faster.

I am your normal, middle-class, "working Joe". But I am also a capitalist and believe that nothing good comes from socialistic entitlement programs. I believe in hunting down and killing terrorists like the little rats that they are (except that that statement is denigrating to rats). I grew up in a very conservative household and was fortunate enough to have had a conservative American Government teacher (a retired US Army colonel) who helped to show me the "right" way. Are there things that I would like to change? Absolutely. But NOT the kind of "change" being espoused by Hillarock Obaminton. I have lived in Florida for forty of my forty-eight years. I've been a big Pink Floyd fan since my teen years hence the moniker, FloydFreak. My friends call me Freak, Floyd, and FF. The libs call me a neocon. I wear that badge proudly. Please note that I enjoy engaging in spirited discussion - even with those with whom I disagree. There are a number of individuals on these boards whom I respect even if I DO think that they're out of touch with reality. Please note also that I do not tolerate personal attacks on my character. If you think that I'm full of BLEEP, you have the right to say so. But drag my character into the gutter and expect retaliation in kind with FloydFreak's own brand of sarcasm. Keep it civil and we'll get along fine. To those of you that see good in America and want the OPPORTUNITY for prosperity for all - and do not just seek to soak it to "the rich", I say God bless you. And God bless America!
