its 8:23 am, Church is in 2 hours and I contimplate my prayers. i know that I will ask God to Bless and forgive the sins of my parents and older brother whom have passed, my cousin John Lee. who died in the Navy from a helo crash and his father that passed 3 years earlier. I will pray for my three sons, that they have a happy and prosperous life, my three brothers and one sister, still living, though they are barely getting by. I pray for the troops, both living and dead overseas or here, i will pray for the veterans, that they will recieve their just due from our government. I will pray for the President and law makers in Washington, that they see right from wrong and maybe God will speak to them in their concience, that they stop hurting the people that keep this country safe and prosperous, as stupidity is not limited to a 60 or below IQ. I pray for a country safe from terrorists, bothe foriegn and domestic.

Then i pray for myself, that the bruse on my spine from a broken neck heals, that i can get my ruptured L 5 disk repaired, that I can find a way to have hearing implants to repair my 70 % hearing loss. That i can find a job to suppliment  my income, so i can afford to see my son on visitation and afford to feed him, that Colorado review the no fault divorce law when it involves the disabled and a judge seems to not care. That the food stamp law is reviewed, I am not the primary resident parent, therefore i cannot recieve more than $ 10.00 in food stamps, my son being here half the time doesn't matter.

I pray that i can fix my car, as it is too hard on my back to walk, i pray that gas prices will go down, way down, so i can afford to drive my car when its fixed,  I pray that i can afford to eat more than one meal a day, as i have to budget to feed my son when he is here. I pray that chemical gold mining is stopped, so the cyanide in our water disapates. I pray for our country, as it looks to be on a spiral toward disaster, because we do not have a way to force our elected officials to take care of their citizens before they piss off the rest of the world, i pray that they let the UN do its job..

Well, it looks like i don't have time for more prayers, God is going to be overwhelmed someday, We are smart enough to fix all of our prayers and continue our belief's, but is anyone but God listening.?     JWHsr  Del Norte Co

If we are so smart, as you say, to fix our prayers why would we need God. I thank God for all of His blessings upon this great Nation, on our families, and on myself. Thank God He is greater than you and me. Matthew 19:26 26Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
We are not smart enough to fix anything but with God ALL things are possible.

Sceptic...Nicely put. We ARE smart enough to fix our prayers, but we need God to fix the world, like Jesus said "With man this is impossible...." Man could be a great servant if only he/she would listen when God speaks to them and gives them the means to fix the world instead of going off on their own agenda..

Depends on the man and woman, i believe that nothing is impossible because God is with me in all things. If i became President, God would be with me. I never contemplate life or death without God, i try to convince others to of the same, there can be no seperation of belief and government and no thought of such, just because a court deems it so does not make it so, as the court is made of people, therefore subject to human nature and free will, common sense tells me that the ruleing of such a court is not a ruleing from God, we know Gods words, they are writtin in the Bible and those words are set in stone. No court in any land and of any people can change those words reguardless of the reason, to accept a ruleing that trys to change Gods will is to begin to seperate yourself from God, that is where hope begins to be lost and that has led us where we are today.
if you believe in the principles of a political party, and those principles deviate from Gods will, then your belief in the party is stronger than your belief in God, if you vote for a person whom puts the principles of their party above those of God, then you reap what you sow and the world suffers because the majority rules.
The end result is, no matter that you fight for freedom, or equality, or any reason people think worthy, you are not fighting for God, therefore people will lose in the end, because the fight for God is not where people fight one another, it is the fight that happens inside you, when you listen and become convinced of a different set of principles than true belief. Once people win that fig

Once people win that fight, then there is no need for weapons, no need for arguement, no terrorists and no political party. Nothing is impossible.!!!!!!!

JW,

It sounds like you are describing Utopia. And we know that cannot happen until Christ returns. I am sorry that you are having a tough time of it. But realize that government is not the solution to our problems. We also know that government is put in place by God. This does not mean that they will always behave in a Godly and just manner, but they would not be in power if it were not God’s Will.

Sometimes we are tested. Sometimes the difficulties and struggles we go through are a means of purification, by fire, if you will. Endure. Don’t be discouraged. Don’t give up hope. But don’t place that hope in man or government, place it where it rightly belongs, in God.

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28

We can’t give up the good fight. We have to stand up for what is right, what is good.
