Well...this case will soon be in the hands of a jury.

Nelson, herself, surprised many observers by taking the witness stand in her own defense.  She says she didn't have anything to do with the Jan. 2007 murder of Heather Garraus, despite every witness prior to that giving testimony that indicated the exact opposite.

This is a sordid case involving marital infidelity...possibly bi-sexuality...high powered hand guns...and even diarrhea.

Do you think Nelson is guilty?

Well, yes I do think she's guilty.

It is incredible to me that so many people with absolutely no ethics whatsoever manifested in the same place and same time and interacted.

Spontaneous combustion.

As I said during the OJ trial- if not the defendant, then who? This woman is POISON. Did anyone else read the testimony of her husband? When he told her oldest child, her 10 year old son, what had happened, he said, "That B!tch Heather! Why couldn't she let them be friends?" Even HE knew she had done it, even though she had already twisted his mind against the only innocent, decent person in this whole sordid mess. Poor Heather, and prayers for her little girl.

Honestly, I was more concerned about Rolo.

Yeah, I think she is guilty. Who else had a motive? Have friends who are related to KN. They say she's guilty, according to KN. What a shame. Sounds like Heather was the only lovely and moral person in this whole scene. Very sad. Did Heather have kids? I can't remember.

Garage Guy- me too! IrishEyeSmile- yes, Heather has a little girl- she's about 9 yrs., old, now, I think. I wonder how her father, who has since moved to Florida, is able to look her in the eye. I'm assuming their daughter is with him- for her sake, I hope she can forgive him, but I hope HE suffers until the day he dies, and after.

Thanks Raysmom for the answer. Actually I would hope Heather's daughter has loving grandparents or aunts/uncles somewhere who can raise her. Probably as Heather's daugter gets towards her teens, she will have a lot more anger and emotions about the situation. She will certainly be able to obtain information about the case online, whether her family wants her to or not. And yes, as a dog lover, I had a lot of anxiety about Rolo this week. Sounds like his owner is motivated and Rolo and the situation will work out. Yeah, I hope Ig feels like a pariah til the day he dies. I hope he is never a cop again either. If and when I need a police officer to help me, I want a clean, moral man or woman, not some promiscuous, adulterous person.

Hey, Irish. Yes, I hope the little girl is somewhere HAPPY. It doesn't sound like things had been good at her house for a long time. It makes you wonder, haven't any of these people ever seen Fatal Attraction? Only problem is, the bad guys won the day, here. This Shawna Nelson must be a world class manipulator, because her attraction certainly isn't looks or a scintillating personality!

I was rooting for Rolo, too. I have a German Shepherd, and his mannerisms are very similar to the ones Rolo was described as having. They are big dogs, and if you don't know the breed, they can seem much more threatening than they intend. I just knew that if he really wanted to hurt that woman, he could have done a lot more damage. His owner is certainly devoted, as I am to mine, so I will really hope for the best for them! Have a good night!

Of course she's guilty! Everything about that woman is ugly.

looked twice for my comments...Victoria is the girls name who is 10 1/2 sure shes' innocent re: the entire involvement.
as far as the remark with the son saying Heather was a bitch, it was hag...i heard it at trial from Kens phone conversation...kids just reallly pick up on what their parents say. Does anyone know if the trial jury deliberated over the weekend?

I agree with the manipulative part, she seemed to have a knack to have others her Halloweeen tricks, such a bad nature, to have. Very selfish. I felt like I was in a confessional overhearing things said by MM.. at least she was sorrowful to 'fess up

What a mess! IrishEyesSmile, I'm with you! If I'm King, Shauna gets the firing squad 30 seconds upon a guilty verdict. Her husband, the Detective, gets fired for helping cover up the crime, and suffers the absolute maximum penalty, both fine and incarceration, for his actions. If the little girl has loving decent grandparents on Heather's side, they get to raise her. As for her husband, the ex-Greeley cop, it was his infidelity which directly led to his wife's murder so he also gets to stand alongside Shauna before the firing squad. As for the friend of the shooter, I'm torn between she should have or could have done more to prevent this tragedy, and she did come forward to testify, even though I believe she cut a deal to cut her losses. I think I'd leave her fate to a jury.
