A scene from the recent Colorado senate debate. The man reading from the resolution is Republican Bob Schaffer, the man standing to his left and looking uncomfortable is Democrat Mark Udall. Given the state of public opinion, I’m not sure how smart it is to remind voters that your opponent eventually came around to seeing the war as a mistake while you never did, but as a bit of political theater, I dig it. A lot.

Probably won’t do much good, though.

Ohohohohohoho! Yes, I'm sure Udall squirmed out of it, and it doesn't change anything, because it's old news to us, and those who refuse to see it never will, but I love seeing Bob put the screws to Mark, anyway!

That was frickin' GLORIOUS. Great post, dude.

If you watched the whole debate, the liberal Boulderites who drove all the way down to Parker to heckle Schaffer (and scream support for Boulder liberal Udall) were less-than civilized throughout this entire escapade.

This exchange really shut them up (for a few moments, anyway). They will never see reason on the subject, but at least Schaffer gave them something to chew on.

Hi, gj. Yes, I noticed that, too. Jeering and sneering- the liberal creed. Even my teenager took note, and shook his head- he's had better manners than that since he was 2. Just like the Al Gore "eye roll", and the John Kerry "sniff"- gosh, it must be hard to control yourself when you are so superior! Cretins.

Is there just left over drugs from the 1970's that make people weird in Boulder or does Bouler just have an attraction for strange (Mork and Mindy) the space alien who ended up in Boulder and the dumb girl who thought he was a preist.

btw if you worked as volunteer as many of us did at the bush/cheney 2004 web site or happened to just have it up during the bush/kerry debates it instantaneously typed out ticker tape style kerry’s last flip or flop and/or gave correct answer citing location info could be found ....

those days were so fun .... it was the greatest site ever built and manned by super guys.

mr wadhams helped elect sen allard and gave sen tom daschel the boot. you are right he is brilliant and bob schaffer has senate qualities and we need his presence in the senate come 2009
