I thought the liberal left's mantra was TOLERANCE. I thought their tagline was CHOICE. I thought they were opposed to JUDGEMENT.
Huh?
They were incredibley INTOLERANT of Wash U.'s CHOICE to honor Phyllis Schlafly, JUDGING her to be unacceptable.
Thank you, once again, liberal left for outing yourselves for the hypocrits you are. It makes my job so much easier when very little effort has to be put into exposing your fraud. I think with my free time I'll go catch a movie. THANK YOU!

Vouchers are a bad idea. As soon as the government thinks it has a penny in the private school sector it will think it has a say in how it's run, what's is taught, etc. I know, and you know, that your tax money is and was yours. And that anything "given" to us was ours in the first place. But Uncle Sam won't agree. He will think that he has indeed GIVEN us money in the form of a voucher. And when "his" money then goes to place a student in a private school he will then think he has the right to control it.
Keep private schools PRIVATE. Keep the government OUT of private schools. Vouchers only invilte trouble. Parents who want their children in private schools will MAKE it happen. They will adapt their lifestyles. They will downsize. They will forgo the pool, the new car, the vacation, the two income mortgate. They will make it happen because it is a priority to them. It was a priority before vouchers and it will remain a priority.
Vouchers will simply turn private schools into glorified public schools. Parents who put their children in private schools, and foot the bill on their own, have similar mindsets. They have similar values. They put their children in schools where the agenda is one they agree with. Parents who will put their children in private schools ONLY IF it's easy don't HAVE the same mindset. Or the same values. And if those parents are in the private schools they will most likely try to change things. And the change will be for the worse.
You say schools will complete for your child. How so? By bending to accomodate the values of the public school minded parent? This will only drag the private school down to current public school level. If numbers is what it will become all about, the private school will start watering down it's values to simply get more students in. This is dangerous and should be feared. Keep private schools PRIVATE.
The MICROSECOND government thinks "it's" money is being put toward a private school education it will start to control it. KEEP PRIVATE SCHOOL PRIVATE! If you want your child in private school pay the bill. Vouchers will only corrupt the private school.
