FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WASHINGTON
-- Yesterday, the New York Times exposed a secret Pentagon effort to
spread favorable views of the war by recruiting and planting military
analysts in the nation's news media. These pundits became fixtures of
war coverage on most major network, cable, radio and print news outlets
without disclosing their considerable conflicts of interest in their
own work as consultants, lobbyists and contractors for military
interests.
Free Press Executive Director Josh Silver issued the following statement:
"Government-sanctioned propaganda violates every conceivable
standard of journalism. That it has been allowed to continue
unquestioned and undisclosed for years is an indictment of both this
White House and a docile American media. An administration secretly
using the press to force a pro-war agenda on the public is not a
partisan issue. Free Press is calling on Congress to investigate the
military pundits and their ties to the Bush administration, defense
contractors and our national news media. It's time the truth about the
selling of this war came out."

The Week in Review

OK so it's late Monday night, but it's not too early to sum up the week, right?
Tuesday - the dollar falls more, the stock market takes a big hit.
Wednesday - Qatar and UAE announce their upcoming change from the Dollar to the Euro for pricing oil.
Thursday - Venezuela follows suit.
Friday - The President addresses the Nation saying "ok we might be heading toward a recession but the stimulus plan should work" ... yeah right when we already know we are currently in a recession already heading for a depression.
This Weekend - you'll plant a garden.
Hey I saw this video and this guy makes a lot of sense, I figured I would share with those who haven't seen it.

I've been watching the progress of this bill that looks to be another one
of those "must pass" bills, and they even went so far as to include a "Myths
and Facts" explanation at some point, contradicting the contents of the
law, much like the Myths and Facts page of the SPP contradict the wording and
goals of the North American Union.
Here is the link:
http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h110-195
5Right
below this horrific bill is a section called "Votes on Passage" and is
why I
love this site for what it offers. When you view votes, you can see
who in
your state voted for it, and those who voted against it, and those
not
present because they were either campaigning or not available.
What makes this bill truly dangerous, besides the
obvious, to be identified
and targeted for what we think about doing and
standing for, is the broad
based blanket statement on the reasoning for this
bill right under the
title. "To prevent homegrown terrorism, and for other
purposes." The last
four of those words in that statement would literally
give the Department of
Homeland Security unlimited power over the American
population even more so
than they have even now, which I thought wasn't
possible.
"and for other purposes" shouldn't be allowed in ANY law what
so ever, as
each law should have a clear and binding definition over what it
does, and
not left to subjective determination by whomever sees fit to bend
the law to
their own agenda.
Here is an article written in January of
2008 in response to this bill, and
by the way, is 100 percent spot
on.

This bill targets people like us, and if it gets passed into law, the final
nail
in the coffin for our Freedoms will be hammered in. Spread the word, I
would reccomend opposing this bill to your represenatives in letters or
calls to their offices in your respective states. While I feel
that
opposing it wouldn't matter much, it would get shoved down our throats
anyways like they did the renewing of the Patriot Act, we might as well get
our say in while we can, before we get put on the TALON (Threat And Local
Observation List) ourselves.

Stormtroopers Get A New Look
The Stormtroopers for the United Nations Empire got a new look this
month
as they prepare to conquer any rebellion forces that may interfere with
the plans of the Emperor. The Emperor met with the U.N.E. Security
Council today to inspect the new armor and was most pleased with the
results and expects the troops will be ready for battle as the
preparations are going well and on time.
When remarked if the six
pack on the suits were necessary, the Emperor swiftly had the heckler
removed from the premises to be later dealt with at a future time.
McCain and Romney Battle For Top Spot
Sen. John McCain said Wednesday that he will bring the Republican Party together to win the presidency. "We will unite the Empire behind our conservative principles and
move forward and win the general election in November," the Arizona
senator said the day after significantly padding his lead over rival
Mitt Romney.
Standing in front of his
"Straight Talk Express" bus, flanked by the man he has called his
"favorite Democrat," independent Sen. Joe Lieberman of Connecticut, and
Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-South Carolina, McCain said he was "pleased at
the depth and breadth of our victory last night."
Romney, who did not have any public events scheduled for Wednesday,
was planning to huddle with his aides to discuss a strategy to stay in
the race.
Despite outspending his rivals he received just 176
delegates from Super Tuesday, compared with at least 568 for McCain.
"One thing that's
clear -- this Campaign's going on, the force is strong in this one" Romney said Tuesday. "I think
there's some people who thought that it was all going to be done
tonight, but it's not all done tonight. We're going to keep on
battling."
The Republican contest now shifts to Louisiana
and Washington, where the candidates will race to stuff ballot boxes on
Saturday, followed by ballot stuffing in Maryland, Virginia and
Washington D.C. next Tuesday.
