Folks, last night, we launched a new segment here on FOX 35.

We call it  the FOX 35 Doghouse. The purpose? To hold dirty dogs accountable, and give their victims a little satisfaction.

In this segment, the person I toss into the Doghouse gets a keepsake. A real rawhide dog bone! I'm not kidding. You can check out last night's first inductee into the Doghouse on-line.

I founded the Doghouse while I was working in Cincinnati, and it was a success. The howl of the town!

Let me know what you think.

Honestly, Tom, the stuff you do is so light weight, I could care less about it

For example - the guy whom you interviewed, who tried to crawl under his car to get away from you while you shouted questions at him. I forget what he did, because it really didn't matter, but that's typical of your reporting. It's easy, it's flash, and it's out of my head by the next commercial.

When I worked at WDBO ten years ago, we broke a story about the contracts awarded to build the Orlando Court House - the city was required to farm out a certain percentage to minority-owned businesses. Those contracts were so over-bid that the minority business owners resold them at a profit to white-owned companies and all retired. That story took a lot of hard work on the part of one reporter (he had to research contracts, hunt down employees, trace out bids and, of course, chase the money), and when he broke it, he changed things about how those contracts are bid and handled.

Not only does your work not show that kind of effort, I think you'd bury a story like that because you wouldn't want to disparage the program. You claim not to see yourself as a partisan but I don't see too much disagreement between you and the political Left, and your reporting sure points in one direction.

You want to give rawhide bones to a series of 'dirty dogs,' whom you feel victimized other people? Enjoy yourself. I give it two months before it degenerates into 'he said/ she said,' and we'll never see a story about someone selling fake carbon credits unless it's a white guy ripping of minorities.

Tom you are giving dogs everywhere a bad name!

I honestly thought the bone was a bit corny, but as usual I enjoyed watching the dirt bags run!

Wizard:
You have no idea what you're talking about, as usual.
I have busted "major" stories, "major" political races and "major" GM/UAW strikes. Even covered one of the plane crashes in 9-11.
But nothing has gotten more attention than putting losers into the Doghouse.
You just don't get it, sir.
Most of the time, the Doghouse is the only justice these people will ever see.
This is not 60 Minutes, it's local TV. It's got to be both informative and entertaining.
And, my friend, there's nothing entertaining about you. Everything that comes out of your mouth is negative and condesending. You are a downer. Oh, and that guy I caught hiding under his car? He, owes several people tens of thousands of dollars from home foreclosure sales! I don't get you. Obviously, you dislike both me and my work, yet you're addicted to my blog. Very odd.

Tom I like your reporting. I think the criticism stems mostly from your liberal views rather than your reporting.

As for thewizards comments about your story on Norman Moss, I feel his statement is unfounded. Norman Moss is a dirt bag and I know the person who supplied a lot of the details of his illegal activities on what he did to the state bar. This guy duped people out of so much money it's ridiculous to think anyone would not have put his face on TV. As for someone not taking this report serious, well maybe it's because they didn't here what he had done in the past. This was a drop in the bucket and if you hadn't done this a lot more people would have been duped. Kudos to you Tom and WOFL for stepping up and setting the safety of the community as a priority. If while doing this you end presenting it in both an entertaining and informative fashion, then it truly shows your skill as a journalist.

Sageman: You get it! Most of you get it! And, trust me, I ain't that liberal. I'm in the middle. But that's another blog, Sage.
