That's right, fellow Americans. Our beloved country, is in deep doo-doo.

Gas is up. Food is up. Jobs and house values are down.

And, what's worse, I fear neither Obama or McCain can pull us out of this nose-dive. Why? Because the current administration has dug our beloved country into a deep hole.

I know what some of you are thinking. Sussi is spewing his crazy "liberal" non-sense again. To you I say, take a look around. These are not good times.

So, what can our leaders do to help turn things around? For starters, stop spending billions fighting those kooks in the Middle East. It's a non-win situation, just like Nam.

Your turn.

Stop fighting the Kooks overseas? Really? Since 9/11 we have stopped no less than 8 more attempts at terrorist attacks, STILL have not identified the source of the Amthrax delivery to leaders and killing of postal workers.

So you want to go back to the 90s and just ignore it again? The money you say is being wasted on kooks was hijacked from the Defense budget by the previous admin. to the tune of 140 Billion a year. You are now paying for the price of INACTION as well. Everytime in American history is filled with having Democrats neglect the defense until we get hit, and then scramble to get back to a working posture.

As for the economy, it slows and peaks in waves all the time. This time its the housing market that was popped. NINJA Loans (No Income, No Job) and greedy make money with no effort flippers make up most of it. Better check on who is the ones on the Banking commission that let it go! (Barney Franks, Chris Dodd.)

We now find that global warming is a farse, and now the same folks are saying we are a loosing economy?

Cont. I don't see empty parking lots at Target, Walmart, Kmart, HomeDepot, Lowes, McDonalds, BK, etc. Starbucks maybe where people were paying 57 bucks a gallon for coffee maybe. EVERY Apple store had lines wrapped around it for a new 300 dollar phone! At my house we are picking on who will be putting in the new spa, pool, and deck after paying off ALL of our consumer debt in the last 10 months! How is that so? Because we planned, studied, and didn't play first! Too many people played first and now cry because they are not where they feel they are ENTITLED to be! So now we should kill the defense of the nation once again, and put money aside for those who I believe 9 of 10 are in a position that is SELF-INFLICTED. Take my money because I choose to work hard?

The economy is self correcting, and I'm tired of everyone trying to jump on a gravy train paid for by all those not on it...

Self-correcting!!!!!
Where is this happening?
In the rich neighborhoods?
Our country's in trouble because of over-priced coffee and phones?
Abunai, you my friend, have hit an all-time low.
I need a drink.

Republican. Liberal. Independent. Whatever. George W. is a knucklehead. Really, what has this guy done for our country? Prior to sneaking into the White House, he had absolutely no successful political track record. Enough of this foolery. But, when it comes to solid presidential candidates, the well is hopelessly dry.

Sussi..I totally agree with you..THe problem with these conservative hacks is they can NEVER admit when one of their own has made SERIOUS mistakes.. Take for example the Iraqi war... we are spending somewhere around 20 billion a month there... Instead of spending it here in the US... where it belongs.Do you know what 20 billion a month could do in the US... Then lets talk about the economy.. My 401K has lost almost 10k in the last year..nothing to sneeze at.. not to mention the housing market going bust then we have oil... oil that has gone up over 40% in the last year..Not on Clintons watch like many of these Conservative hacks seem to blame..but on George W Bushs watch.. food has jumped almost 20% US car makers are almost ready to declare bankruptcy..COnsumer confidence is at its lowest in almost 50 years... companies are laying off by the thousands..But to these COnservative hacks..Everything is fine and dandy..nothing wrong at all... Sussi.. you and I need to grab a beer and rethink how we need to take our government back from these nuts

Housing market.. Oil Prices... I believe they were part of the promises made by Democrats in 2006 were they not? Companies laying off like the auto guys maybe? Seems to me the Union driven companies are the common simularity there. You might be shocked at what Pelosi really does with Unions...

Libs and their frustration. The "knucklehead" seems to get his way, and has been running circles around the Democrats. His numbers are rising, as the Democrats have hit a National record for low and STILL going down!

Now we are finding out that enviromental lobbies and Democrats are the main obstruction to our energy issues. Dems promised to lower gas prices and in 06 they put the block on oil out of the midwest!

Food prices are a result of high energy prices, and everyday we get more and more information on just how we have been phleased by the left! STILL not allowing us to recover from Katrina in the Gulf fields! We now find that Russia and China are already drilling 30 miles off the coast and more to come!

No matter how you slice it, the LEFT is the culprit here on energy, and the truth continues to come out as the mainstream biased media can't plug all the holes anymore!

Self correcting Tom. yes! Before the first checks came out, the market was already doing it, and I invite you to see the rebound this week, as well as the drop in oil prices!

Libs beat down "big oil" for years until they companies shot back, and now they are after speculators? IOWs it was all spin! Thanks to new media sources we are getting the truth now! Even Obama hates FOX (Hann

Iraq war spending? 1% of GDP my friend. How about Obama sneaking Global Poverty Bills through committee, with Biden's help and now spending hundreds of Billions (.7% GDP) up to 2015 on passing out AMERICAN MONEY to warlords, and dictators that are starving their own! Extortion money!! No debate allowed... voice vote only.. and almost as much as the Iraq war!

I suggest you libs start preparing to defend yourselves instead of trying to "get Bush" as you have done including trying to make us loose the war for the last 5 plus years!! Had you done your job in 93 instead of ignoring it for two terms, the cost of that inaction would be not be in the mix, and likely not lost as many people in the process!

You can't get around the Democrats inaction, then destroying the evidence to protect yourselves with Sandy Berger's work!

Tom Sussi is right in the fact that this country is in deep do do. The economy is tail spinning and I stated to a colleague earlier today that I didn't have confidence that either Obama or McCain could reverse the situation. Consumer confidence is down, Unemployment is up, and creditors have closed their doors. All add up to a recession that will make the 70's look like glorious times.

I think that this falls on the backs of both parties for not working together. Yet the main cause is the current administration running of our government that rewarded shipping jobs over seas and gave tax breaks to the extremely wealthy while shooting everyone else in the back. The poor are actually poorer now than when Bush took office as are the middle class in this country. Funny how the fastest growing economies in the world are ones where we shipped all of our jobs too. LOL. Makes me wonder if it's possible that Bush is league with the enemy because they couldn't have done as much damage to us as he has.

Either way, McCain or Obama are huge improvement over the current administration.

Hmm - let's review.

Unemployment is 5.5% - I believe you're going to find that that is the lowest of any industrialized nation in the world, or very close to it.

93% of home owners are up-to-date on their mortagages, who have mortgages.

Despite serious defaults on mortgages and record high gas prices, the economy has resisisted recession, but instead grown, if only at a slow pace.

When are you going to blame the left-wing politicians who actually ARE to blame for this? The Democrats in Congress who threatened lending establishments during the housing boom, because they weren't writing enough loans to low-income borrowers?

The left-wing liberals who go to war to block EVERY new oil drilling attempt, EVERY attempt to build a refinery, offshore drilling and drilling in ANWR - a barren wasteland which doesn't even see the sun for 1/2 of the year?

You blame the President? I blame him for his refusal to engage the Left, for his 'go along to get along' stupidity. But he isn't carrying the whole load.
