A 14-year-old Polk County boy is waiting to cross a busy road with friends in Polk County. Cops say the boy is texting, isn't paying attention and walked into the path of a car. Smack! The car slams into the teen and he dies.
How sad.
But, you know what? I'm surprised these sort of deadly accidents don't happen more often. People are nuts with this texting stuff. They text at the movies. They text in public restrooms. I even see lots of folks texting and driving!
Enough already!
Here's some friendly advice. If you're walking across busy streets, driving a car or even operating farm machinery - do not text. It can be hazardous to your health.
Bring it. But please, don't text me!
