AMOUNT of Precincts? ANYONE know?

The long lines we see on TV is making it look like a mess.  But I understand the amount of Early voting locations are less than 10 percent of normal Precincts to be open on Election day.   

Does anyone know how many voting places there are in Florida or central Florida.?

When I have gone into mine, there are usually 20 booths but if I see more than 4 people at a time, I am amazed.  And they end up with very high turnout.

Just wondering.

Well, the paper today had a list of 182 polling precincts in Volusia County.

I have never experienced a line at my precinct either. Always several booths open, maybe 4 or five people there.

The lines and organization in Seminole County for early voting were a disaster. For several blocks around the Oviedo library ther were cars parked in the street, blocking traffic in both directions. There was zero organization outside the library, and people just parked and left their cars right in front of the door, making ingress and egress impossible. Our supervisor of elections, Bill Ertel, bascially threw up his hands and left the voters to fend for themselves.. Hopefully with more precincts open tomorrow it won't be so bad.
