The CSU student newspaper has lost $30,000 in advertising and it has cut pay and other budgets by 10 percent because of immediate reaction to use of a four-letter word in an editorial about President Bush, the Coloradoan reported Saturday.

In very large type, the editorial Friday said "Taser this...(expletive) Bush." There was a line that said the editorial had the support of the Collegian's editorial board.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE COLLEGIAN'S EDITORIAL? DO YOU THINK ADVERTISERS SHOULD ABANDON THE PAPER?

Of course advertisers should abandon the paper. This was in poor taste equal to that of the Moveon.org ad placed in the New York Times. It has no substance; it's merely an immature rant.

I'm sure these students will be givin jobs with the Hillary campaign any day now. And Moveon.org will fill any of the advertising space that was left open by advertisers with decent and moral taste.

These morons will be welcomed with open arms at the Denver Post in a couple of years. And the beat goes on.

I would like to have a list of the advertisers so the next time I'm Colorado I could avoid their businesses.. They sound like a slimy bunch of democracy hating anti-constitution neo-cons just like GW and his corporate fascist brethren....

This proves my point that you can do whatever you want, BUT there are consequences. Was it worth it I wonder.

Shame! Shame! Your credibility as journalist was completely erased, in two words. Remember your names are listed as co-conspirators in the printing of this rag.

Remember we are at war, do you realize the reprecussions of such an act of illiteracy and ignorance.

I do hope that the taxes , that the hardworking taxpayer contributes. so you can have a honest productive education was not mishandled in this matter. If they were , you misrepresented yourself as being in an educational institute, and should repay what ever you stole with deception.

What you choose to put in black and white, could give credibility to our enemies and they write in blood.

Or if the enemy was who you wanted to impress, I'm sure they will give you a pat on your back, while slitting your throat.

These narcissistic collegiate retards need to learn to respect the office of the president. And perhaps the University needs to pay more attention to how they indoctrinate their little liberal jihadi's. This is such an embarrasment for higher education. Someone needs to come up with College homeschooling. Our children will be smarter and more civilized.

Shame!Shame! As american citizens, who has abused the first amendment, you should hang your heads in total Shame. Remember your credibility has been proven with your names published in this rag. Did you really think that America would pat you on the back, with a "Good Job ". I do hope you haven't used the taxpayers hard earned honest taxes to aid and abet in this immoral and unpatriotic crime against real journalism. All who embrace this type of thinking embraces the enemies of the people. Its the same as paying for a airline ticket for a terrorist to come here and murder innocents. They would also pat you on the back, while slitting your throat. How naive and illiterate you are about the real world and real enemies.

All advertisers should drop their ads. I will not buy from any company that supports such ignorance by supposedly educated people. They may not agree with President Bush but he is still the President of the United States. If they cannot respect the office, they need to be be removed from the paper. How would they like it if we said the same thing about their mother?

Hip Hip Hurray, The paper speaks the TRUTH ! Bush, Cheney and ALL the cronies envolved in this 7-8 year corrupted administration will start to bow to the people hopefully in do time ! You can supress the people with lies, etc. for so long before the jig is up ! Unfortunately, so many corrupted things that have been done to this great country the USA it is going to take a very long time to set it right again! The Dems have'nt been much better as of late with spineless and gutless lack of action.............IMPEACHMENT for starters of Bush and Cheney would be a vast improvement !! Hang in there everyone and if we stick together we become "The People" once again who own this country and not the corporations. That my friends is what the Constitution is all about........."We The People" !!

It is Bush who should be apologizing for lying to the American people, leading us into a war based on false pretenses and causing the death of 4000 young Americans. Oh, and let's not forget the fiscal irresponsibility which future generation must pay for. And you want to compare this with calling the man an expletive? Sounds to me like the paper got it about right.

Believe it or not, patriotism does not mean loving George Bush. Sometimes, the best way to be a patriot is to challenge, to question or, yes, to insult a political leader--aren't those the basic principles on which the United States was founded? All that these students did was embrace the freedom of speech/freedom of the press afforded to them by the US Bill of Rights. The day that an American can't insult a political office, well, that's the day that she's not really an American anymore...

--HAHAHAHA WHAT? The only embarrassing thing here is that A) there is no need for an apostrophe after the i in "jihadi's" [sic], and that this poster doesn't actually know how to spell embarrassment. Pathetic! Get serious! If our children are going to be "smarter and more civilized," they will be PROGRESSIVE--they will love freedom of speech, they will question leaders that lead them into ridiculous wars until false premises, and they will know how to use the possessive. For realzzzz.
