You people are either scared of a real topic or just ignorant.

Which is it?

People should stop getting hyped up over these ridiculous prices. If you buy them directly from the rockies website they're only $65-250. Once they sell out, then we can resume crying.

I somewhat agree with Powerball. There's more going on out there than a sports tournament. I thought you would learn from your last ticket price question, which got no more than a dozen hits, that people just don't care that much.

The World Series is a national event, not a Rockies or even Denver event. The prices are set accordingly. Personally, I would only go for free.

Look the BEST seat is right on your own comfortable sofa in front of your T.V. where you can see everything up close!!

Personally, I think it's kind of sad to see people get stripped of their legal rights and not even care.

I understand many of the points mentioned here. But...this is probably why the corporations do what they do. They know most people don't feel they deserve things and be part of major events and are quite fine just being on the outside. Well, some of us don't feel that way. We believe we have a right to be in those stands just as any big shot! That's our point! if you are a home body or sports don't matter to you than it's a non-issue for you and there is no need to comment . However, for the rest of us ,maybe we don't want to be at home , if there is a fair and open opportunity to really be at the actual event. Lookit, what we are saying is ,the hot shot should not be given an advantage because they know most people are going to roll over and convince themselves it's not really important becasue it appears there is no chance. This is how the big dogs want you to feel.

To drerunner, your ticket purchase doesn't pay for the multi-million $ salaries of the players. It's kind of like selling newspapers for 50 cents. It is just to cover a portion of distribution. The paper is paid for by adversting. Baseball is funded by big shots and not fans in the stands. You are just a pawn faciliting their money machine. Sorry to burst your bubble, but if you want to be a fan that matters, go to a Little League game. And, btw, we are all entitled to comment. All issues impact all listeners.

As I noted, this issue had only six commentators and one didn't make sense.

"stevefritz"this is not a place to bloviate! Many of us take this very seriously. If people did not have interest in the overall sport, the owners would never be able generate any "big time" revenue! Come on! If only 2 people showed up for a Rockies game and no one had any interest watching baseball on t.v. than your argument is meaningless! It's about what the public thinks! They dictate the hype of one sport over others! 'IT IS WHAT IT IS" Advertisers come in later to cater to those people for other products and services. What are we missing here??? Pepsi nor Coors need to convince me that "BASEBALL" is awesome sport to watch! I KNOW THAT ALREADY! However,If there is no demand than there is no ability to create substantial revenue. You need people for that ,not advertisers! You must first have the people , the fans , the people who will pay until you get to this point! Those advertiser you are speaking about, who do they advertise to, sir? The millions of fans who support the overall sport!!!! What are you smoking? Besides ,10 billionaires and 200 advertisers cannot create a sport without the interest of the public. Empty stadiums dont create revenue sir! what the Heck are we missing here? GEEEZZZ!
