The Mitchell steroid report names dozens of current and former players who are accused of using steroids and other performance enhancing drugs.

The players include 7 MVPs, 31 All-Stars, and 12 players with ties to the Colorado Rockies.

Do you think the Mitchell report will change steroid and performance enhancing drug use in baseball and other sports?

I think that the Mitchell report will not change anything. Unfortunately Baseball has proven to kids that taking steroids will get you the big contracts, the records, the money, the parties, and the girls. They have told our kids that it is ok to cheat. If they wanted to make a real impact, then they would restore all previous records and remove the folks from the record books that have 'broken' records in the last decade or so. I don't feel that a simple astrix by a name is good enough.

I disagree with one aspect of the Mitchell report. I think the players involved should be punished. Any records they set should be disallowed, and they should be fined heavily. In this way, we would send a message to young fans that steroid use is not condoned.

I want to know why no one is asking for Bud Selig's resignation from the head office for allowing steroids to run rampant in the first place. He knew baseball needed fans back after the strike in '94, and knew that the big players were taking them and still turned his back. Then he goes out and crucifys Barry Bonds as a way of getting his part in this whole thing overlooked. And it worked. Somebody needs to start asking him questions about his involvement.
