Colorado Secretary of State Mike Coffman says he favors using paper ballots for the 2008 presidential election. That a week after he decertifyed electronic voting machines used in many of the state's largest counties.

DO YOU THINK GOING BACK TO PAPER BALLOTS IS A GOOD IDEA?

PAPER OR PLASTIC CYBERSPACE OR PEOPLE...SINCE THE MACHINES ARE DEFICIENT I WONDER WHO WOULDA REALLY GOT ELECTED????

SPEED OR ACCURACY?
BOTTOM LINE: People somewhere along the line are responsible, whether it is a voting committee that takes care of the elections...
ha...that s a good one...Who does take care of the elections? 1,000 people count for days with paper or less count electronic scores by deficient machines...
What do you want really? Speed or Accuracy!

I'ts funny.. we can spend billions of dollars on war, yet we cant get a decent online voting system hooked up?? It honestly wouldn't take that much to get one set up and working correctly. I could program something in my sleep that would do the trick.

Attach the online security provided by CIA or NSA and your free of hackers. Moving away from the paper ballots eliminates human error. I bet Florida can vouch for that...

I feel ashamed of the system.

you must be making millions...the security that would be needed to do the security to make sure that one person could not vote more than one time and to make sure that all the non-citizens are not voting. If you are talking about go in and vote on a computer that is a bit different but no matter what you do, be it paper or computer it can be changed. Except for local elections and if you live in Colorado your vote counts less than one in FL on a vote for president. If you want to change something get rid of the fact that a state that has more population has more power and the Senate has no vote except the personal vote where they are registered.

NOT!! People using Ipods, blackberrys,PDAs,laptops, able to work ATMs anywhere, yet you don't think electronic voting is good?

Every voter should get a plastic card in the mail (like a debit card) that has a single vote on it. You put it in the machine just like the ATM, verify your selections, hit enter, and take your receipt!

The problem is that these types of systems, make the election day operations too smooth, and there are many that don't want the voting to be so secure! You notice that most objections come from Democrats dont ya?
