Senator Hillary Clinton let her emotions flow a bit at the end of a lengthy question and answer session with undecided voters in New Hampshire. It was enough to catch the attention of people nationwide.

In an interview with FOX News, Sen. Clinton, who is slipping in the polls and facing the prospect of a potential defeat on the heels of the Iowa Caucus, said emotion is passion and should not be interpreted as weakness.

What do you think?

I seem to remember when Bill was caught by the press yucking it up and stopped to wipe a tear from his eye. Could this be another version of the same emotion? Maybe it is tears of anger because she knows she is in political touble.

It's not emotion or passion, it's acting. Just her version of Bill's quivering lip.

Indeed! Looks like Sharon Stone and Sally Fields have taught her well. Give that woman an Oscar!

It depends on what emotion is shown. If the candidate is overwhelmed in a disaster by their emotions then they should not be elected. I believe that Hillary's emotion did not overwhelm her and rather i am relieved that she is making the job personal. If the tears are real.

Aaahhh...I get it. Emotion is a big no-no in the political circle. Maybe if we displayed a little more human emotion and empathy, our country would be a better place.

It is not a big no-no for me. If the emotion was true then i am relieved, but if it was faked, then i feel that the candidate is decieving us all. Think of what they will do when they get into office.

I am totally irked with NPR's and online news coverage of Hilary Clinton's so-called "emotional response" to a question she was asked in NH today. Heard the report 3 different times on NPR, filed by Mara Liasson (out of a total of less than 2 hrs in the car) and have seen it on here and it's like the reporters are making a HUGE deal out of the fact that her voice quavered momentarily when she said she didn't want to see our country go backwards. It was TOTALLY trying to play that card of emotionality = weakness and I find that completely disgusting, biased and reprehensible on the part of the newscorp!

These people are not machines, they are human like everyone. So what is the problem with showing emotion and passion?? It allows voters to see true passion instead of whom they are trying to be for the country, it shows who THEY ARE for this country

This probably shouldnt have an impact on her polling numbers but probably will. Breaking down after one caucus with New Hampshire on the horizon doesnt show a bit of a candidates confidence in their ability to rebound or reach the people.

With Hillary, I'm not sure it's real emotion in the first place, or if she has those. Politically, I think it was a huge mistake and it makes them say.. "See... a woman in the White House can't handle it!"

It is comforting to see emotion, or passion, from Hiliary. She has been criticized in the past for being too harsh and uncaring, now she's being criticized for being too soft and emotional. Give me a break! I was never completely sold on Hilary, until now.

She's obviously going for the sympathy vote.

If she's President, is she gonna cry to terroists'......"(sob) Please don't bomb us, we just wanna be friends (boo hoo)".....

What a load.

Is this the same Hillary who wore her pink dress on TV to defend her spouse? Has anyone seen her in a dress since?
Anyone who can't see that every inch of this episode has been carefully scripted by her advisors deserves Hillary as their president.
