President George W. Bush gives his final State of the Union address tonight.

He's expected to talk about taking action to stimulate growth in the economy. He's also expected to say that the U.S. is winning the war and Iraq, and he's going to urge congress to make sure the U.S. has the opportunity to continue the progress he says is being made in Iraq.

What is the State of the Union in your opinion? What do you want to see the President and Congress get accomplished during his last year in office?

I want to see the tax cuts made permanent and capital gains tax at least reduce if not cut completely! Let’s get this economy back on track by NOT double taxing.

Bush is doing a great job I know he’ll finish his term strong!

PS
I don’t think we should worry about the President’s approval rating when the democratic congress’ is lower than it’s ever been.

Its not good. I liked to see congress get involved in Bush's Spp (security and prosperity parternership) deal, possible talks of a north american union integrating canada the US and mexico , and the Nafta superhighway. National sovereignty is at risk. Just google the NAU!

Just what union is there when Democrats and Republicans continue to rip it apart? Supporters of crime seem to have settled on the side of Republicans while Socialism seems to have settled with the Democrats - it's a choice of lesser of two evils! And look at what they have all accomplished...

The economy stinks and poised to get much worse. Quality jobs are disappearing due to business executives making very poor and often illegal acts with little or no fear of any real prosecution. National security is a joke while nothing (much) has been done to stop the INVASION of illegal immigrants. Public education is horrible but seems to have bottomed out for the time being. The war continues to claim bright & promising lives simply because the powers that be are either incompetent or want to be "fair" about how it's fought. And I don't think I have to tell anyone the problem with taxes that support it all! I can't imagine how anyone could see this in a positive light. But I'm sure someone is going to try to pump sunshine somewhere rather than actually do something.

I don’t think that Bush could fix any thing even if his life depended on it. The same goes for the worthless congress we have. In the last 8 years bush and congress have been nothing but one disappointment after another. I do seem to take pride in the fact that I didn’t vote for Bush. For those of you who voted him in not only once, but again after ripping us off in his first term, I hope you like paying more for gas as well as other stuff because its your fault you should have seen it coming, just look at his dad.

Ps say what you wont about Clinton but at least he new how to balance a checkbook.
As for Bush he just screwed up everything Clinton worked so hard for like its his job or something.

I did...Northern AZ University came up. Glad you informed me, I’m feeling more at ease now that I googled that! There is nothing wrong with working in cooperation with you neighboring countries… as for making it all a union is a lie and Americans will not stand for it! Not even our leadership! Get a life and read these bills yourself and BE AWARE!

It’s a democratic congress what did you expect?
How did he rip us off, exactly? No President can control Gas prices (remember what happened in the 70s when they tried?)
Bush’s spending has been considerably less than Clinton even with a war, and he changed things Clinton did because for how Clinton’s administration help allow 9-11. Maybe Clinton should have done his job better?

I have an idea...CLOSE THE BORDER!!!
(Oh-I see you beat me to it dre...)

Next, make it illegal to hire illegal aliens. I wouldn't need this $600 "stimulus" if I didn't have to compete against lawbreakers working for $5 an hour.

Next, let's start eliminating "programs" for the lazy losers who would prefer not to work.

always septic you think your man did a good job? Wow, i feel sorry for you thinking that way and now he will pass on his bs for someone else to fix. Hopefully it is someone who can spell and speak, but he did have some positive but in my opinion most negative. You know there has to be someone better out there then him. Even another Repub. right? just have a open mind and see all the other options i do.
