I am William Hogans  Mom, and yes this is bizarre for sure. This has traumatized our entire family.  William is a kind hearted, gentle and loving soul, that has recently been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia.  This is not something he would do to ANYONE if he were in his right mind, let alone his Grandma.  My son and his Grandma are so close and she is really the only one who he has let help him as he has been struggling with this mental illness.  Those who suffer from PS are loners, and do not trust anyone!  Well his Grandma is the only one who he has trusted and who has been able to be close to him in the last few years.  This is not because others do not love him, or care about him.  A mental illness does not happen because of how you are raised, or by who.(but it could in some situations)Our family loves him, and we are very upset that this happened, but we also know him, and know that if he is aware of what he has done, and to who he has done this to, that he is very scared and very alone, and confused as well.  We are just as worried about him, as we are about Grandma.  The family is wanting the public to know that his Grandma loves him very much and is worrying about him, just like the rest of us.  Of course she is frightened, and nervous, but who would not be if this happened to them.  She was the first one to forgive him, and she is still loving him and wanting him to be found safe.  Our family has a long road of healing ahead, but with her as our leader and mentor, we will go forward, and we will heal, and William will always be part of us.  She knows the important part she plays in his life, and she is one to NEVER give up on those she loves.  The need for heart surgery is NOT from this incident, but from an accident 3 years ago.  The media has done the usual, and reported mistruths, and left out many aspects of this whole situation.  I am not justifying anything that William has done, cause it is wrong for sure, but I am asking that people do not jump to conclusions, because of the medias lies, and that those who pray......pray not only for Grandma Jo, but that they also include William in those prayers.  I could go on and on and on about this case, but I won't.  Just please PRAY for us and ask God for a safe return for William, as that would be the best news his Grandma could recieve right now!  Thank You
