War Heroes

I've been floating around reading and re-reading some of the most recent posts concerning current world affairs, most posted ( or cut and pasted) by the same individual, and most on the same beat down subject.

 On this little jaunt I stumbled across one of this individuals comments concerning a number of those of us that seem to think along the same lines. As he pointed out a few personalities he mentioned ' Two Braggarts, War heroes who know it all.'

 Admittedly this "pack" tends to stand by their convictions no matter what, and alot of times it gets ugly, myself no exception. What I can't seem to find anywhere one of the "pack" proclaiming to be a War Hero. I can find countless times where any number of us mention our service to our Country in many of the recent conflicts, but nary a proclomation of Heroism.

 Now maybe it's just me but I find this  comment  damn  insulting. One of the two you refer to may be me. It could be any 2 of the handful of those of us on the "same page of music."   The proper referral would be VETERAN. And I will take the liberty of speaking for all, Damn proud VETS. Proud of our service, proud of our accomplishments, proud of the Country we live in.

I don't care to jump on the multiple screen name wagon because frankly I find it funny. What I will say is it's pretty spooky the similarities two individuals on this site have in their postings. Maybe it's just coincedence, I don't care. I'm going to refrain from throwing any names out here. The individual I am referring to knows who they are.

 I don't care to have you respond to this my friend, in all of your life you'll never be able to justify a statement as you have made. You've not walked in our shoes, you have no idea of the pride involved, and if one of us brags maybe we earned the right. Maybe someday in your meager little world you'll  get out of your back yard and do something worthwhile other than riding on the shirt tail of others. Maybe. My belief is you'll probably do better staying in you cut and paste world. It's safe there.

Well said alfadawg and your not alone, it really pissed me off when I saw that.

The multiple screen name issue sucks.
And I'm going to have to openly nip it in the butt.

I alfadawg you are one of the most humble men I have known and I have never heard you brag about your accomplishments you have done in your protecting my freedom I love, and I salute you. If anyone deserves a pat on the back it's you my friend and you are a hero if I do say so myself. The person we are dealing with that as the M.I.S.S is dealing with a mental illness that makes him beleave that he is an authority on all subject matter. I don't care who you are you can't know everything about everthing and this shows his pompuos and his arrogants not mention is insecuritys and his desire to feel acceptance and to feel that he is apart of something. He feels this rejection we have for him is do to his opinions and this couldn't be further from the truth, we reject him because of him and his arrogant aproach to people who disagree with him. I have followed this guy and I say guy because I know it's just one guy. and he has cliamed to be a vietnam vet a pilot as claimed to be blogging from a secret base outside of Afghanistan he has cliamed to be a woman and know is saying he works for defence..Nows who's doing the bragging. As for you my friend don't worry I will ride this guy like a circus animal and you just worry about protecting our freedom that this moron take for granit

IMO...Any man or woman that serves our country is a hero to some extent. So because there are those who agree with each other, and have each others back when being bombarded with BS, we now own a label? So if we're the "pack", does that make them the "get-a-long gang"?? Hmm just curious.

The get-a-long-gang pollutes and spams the crap out of this site everyday and than today we didn't hear a word all day from either.

I'm just watchin the blogs lately. It seems the more I say, the more I get pssd cause ignorance is "bliss" but that's freakin sad and pathetic. Might as well just live in a bubble and not exist. I guess it's true...Ya can't fix stupid. Poor things..

IMO, anyone who has every worn the uniform with pride, dignity, and honor, is a war hero.

For every CMH winner there is a guy that packed his chute, kept him fed, and supported his efforts (and his MISSION).

Comments like this say more about the person(S) MAKING the comment than anything else, I think.

I mean, what kind of person (in their right mind) would consider using "war hero" as an insult? I think we all know the answer to that.

As the new year approachs and this seems to be a year for change(?) I figured I'd change my BIO. Much more exciting than sorting my socks. Again. So let's see.... Chief Petty Officer in the Seabees(RES).Proud Iraqi Freedom Vet.(3 tours, voluntary), and have spent more time in a hooch in Iraq than in my own home since 2004. I'm a cranky, miserable, politically incorrect Father of 4 wonderful kids, 5 pit bulls, a ferret and a chihuahua. My creatures are my kids too! Married to the best woman in the world who has been my driving force for the past 25 years and I will go to the grave for what is mine. Believe in the war and believe GWB made the right decision and stuck by it, can't hate a guy for that. Firmly believe that on a whole the Iraqi people are good people having had the pleasure to interact with quite a few. Am I happy with the election? Not at lberty to say. Will we survive as the best and greatest nation in the world? Absolutely. The zombies will be kept at bay Future plans for the coming year is to get back home and catch up on the year and a half I have been gone,maybe ride my bicycle around the world,(not really), and stay alive one more year! That's it, that's all there is. God bless our Troops and bring them home alive and Victorious. SEMPER GUMBY, DAWG
