Last Post 29 days, 13 hours Ago

First off, this will definately be my last post for quite some time. I've had a couple of days off finally since Nov. 1 and figured I'd stop by and check the site out. It just isn't what it was a year ago. With the exception of the conspicuous few, it's pretty dull. I was extremely happy to see the Boogster on a roll this past week.

I am very worried about the upcoming elections, especially since I will be deployed in country during the pre-coursor. I drank my coffee this a.m. watching the Communist Network News,(I'm living in a hotel @ the moment and had no choice) and couldn't believe the best Blitzer could do is interview retired pro basketball stars and talk about their choice of candidate. One for Hillary and one for Obama. Nice. Blitzer eluded to the color aspect of the race stating the fact that Obama seems to be the "African-American" choice. My feeling is he'll probably only get 1/2 the vote because, well ya'll know his background. By the way..... What is an African American???  I thought we were all in this together. Maybe not. I have faith in this nation and know deep inside we will do the right thing. I can't be the only one that sees this type of thing.

On the bright side of things deaths of U.S. soldiers in Iraq have decreased mostly due to some of the new state of the art gear we are being issued and the new equipment we have to work with. Just in my little end of things, my troopies were issued all brand new gear including weapons and the newest(to date) body armor. It's heavy but much more comfy than the last generation. And yes Boogy, it ALL MATCHES!!!!!  Along with that we have a whole slug of new security vehicles to convoy around in that are configured to repel IED blasts and also the capability to jam electronic freqs stopping the detonation of the same. Those insurgents are a crafty bunch but cannot keep up with our counter-intelligence.

I  suppose I could go on but I'll spare you. As we prep to step off in a few days, I've got my tasking , have spent the past 60 days going over intel and have briefed my snuffies on our job while we are deployed. It's good work and will benefit our forces as well as the Iraqis. Yes, there is alot of good things coming of this mess. The non-believers  need to steer clear of the liberal media.

You conspicous few keep up the fight, keep the faith, and rest assured this is a smart nation. I really think the majority will do the right thing come November. To those that are weak at heart  and short of spine sitting on your sitter and taking advantage of what the fighting few provide you. Enjoy, that's the right we have given you. As for me, I'll spend next weekend with my family , God willing it won't be the last and I certainly don't plan on it being that way, but as always we are all prepared for what ever comes our way. That's the beauty of having a family that supports your convictions. I'll talk to all of you down the line here at some time, and  touch base here if I can. If not, take care and enjoy what God has given you. Yankee's fan.... Keep up your good work, and please keep posting the news from the War Front from the folks there and the good work being done.  To the rest of you,Thank you all for your support!!!

Boogy..... drop me an email so I can send you my global e-address.

Ditto all of the above, Alfadog, sir!

As a newbie around these parts, I am learning who's who and what's what. I look forward to reading more about you and your men.

YankeeFan is an online friend of mine from Florida. She posts fine stories for the folks in the Tampa and Orlando areas. Alas, she gets a rough treatment from the libs there. But she fights the good fight. A wonderful soul, that young lady.

Thank YOU, sir for your service!

As the new year approachs and this seems to be a year for change(?) I figured I'd change my BIO. Much more exciting than sorting my socks. Again. So let's see.... Chief Petty Officer in the Seabees(RES).Proud Iraqi Freedom Vet.(3 tours, voluntary), and have spent more time in a hooch in Iraq than in my own home since 2004. I'm a cranky, miserable, politically incorrect Father of 4 wonderful kids, 5 pit bulls, a ferret and a chihuahua. My creatures are my kids too! Married to the best woman in the world who has been my driving force for the past 25 years and I will go to the grave for what is mine. Believe in the war and believe GWB made the right decision and stuck by it, can't hate a guy for that. Firmly believe that on a whole the Iraqi people are good people having had the pleasure to interact with quite a few. Am I happy with the election? Not at lberty to say. Will we survive as the best and greatest nation in the world? Absolutely. The zombies will be kept at bay Future plans for the coming year is to get back home and catch up on the year and a half I have been gone, maybe ride my bicycle around the world,(not really), and stay alive one more year! That's it, that's all there is. God bless our Troops and bring them home alive and Victorious. SEMPER GUMBY, DAWG
