I was able to access the site this a.m. (I think the communications warriors did this on purpose)so I figured I take the opprotunity to wish all of the Dads out there a Happy Fathers Day. Especially to those of you that have served this great nation in the past and more than likely know what it is like to be away from your children on this very special day. Today makes four of the last six I've been away from home. There are a great many of us here in theater celebrating this day away from our families continuing on with our day to day business without faulter. It's made up for somewhere though, for me each of my "Snuffies" wished me a Happy Fathers Day, and I the same to them, our way of taking care of each other. A handful of my guys have little ones at home, a couple celebrating their first and a couple that have yet to meet their sons or daughters. My 4 are grown but that doesn't lessen the amount I miss seeing them everyday. None the less we carry on with our mission with hopes this all never gets to "our backyard" as some would allow to happen. My children are safe for now as well as the children of those who do not support us or even wish ill upon us. This is what, by their own choosing, our great young Warriors do. It's what the great young Warriors of the past have done. Assure safety and freedom in "our backyard".
With that said.... HAPPY FATHERS DAY and God Bless you bunch of mugs. Keep up the fight!

As the new year approachs and this seems to be a year for change(?) I figured I'd change my BIO. Much more exciting than sorting my socks. Again. So let's see.... Chief Petty Officer in the Seabees(RES).Proud Iraqi Freedom Vet.(3 tours, voluntary), and have spent more time in a hooch in Iraq than in my own home since 2004. I'm a cranky, miserable, politically incorrect Father of 4 wonderful kids, 5 pit bulls, a ferret and a chihuahua. My creatures are my kids too! Married to the best woman in the world who has been my driving force for the past 25 years and I will go to the grave for what is mine. Believe in the war and believe GWB made the right decision and stuck by it, can't hate a guy for that. Firmly believe that on a whole the Iraqi people are good people having had the pleasure to interact with quite a few. Am I happy with the election? Not at lberty to say. Will we survive as the best and greatest nation in the world? Absolutely. The zombies will be kept at bay Future plans for the coming year is to get back home and catch up on the year and a half I have been gone, maybe ride my bicycle around the world,(not really), and stay alive one more year! That's it, that's all there is. God bless our Troops and bring them home alive and Victorious. SEMPER GUMBY, DAWG
