I-20 deadman's curve

Why in the world that Studpidot (aldot) can not do something about the i-20 interchange at i-59.  There has been so many accidents there it is unreal.  Aldot needs to do what other states would have done by now and redo that interchange to make it safer.  an interstate is not designed with a speed limit of 50 and an 35 mph curve for mainline interstate traffic.  our roads in birmingham suck and without extra funding and alabama's low low taxes our roads will stay being bad and will hurt birmingham in the long run.  How about the extra lanes on i-65 in shelby county too?  Aldot waits on the federal check for road projects and we hardly use any state funds for projects. you just can not do that!

I've wondered that since the first time I drove through that interchange. A two-year old knows better than that!

As far as I-65: Why is it that the fastest growing region in the state is and has been Shelby County, yet I-65 runs from six lanes into four down at AL HWY 119. It should be six lanes all the way to Montgomery. When I travel north through the 'Dales, it's a virtual ghost town on six lanes.

And while we're at it, how about paving/re-paving/maintaining what we have already. I feel like I need to re-torque all of my suspension after driving on the interstates around here.

Alabama has and will always be behind on the other states and cities. Our elected officials cannot do anything except pad their own pockets.

Every other state uses their money for what it's allocated for. But NOT Ala. or B'ham. We have to build a "DOOMED" stadium or some other stupid wasteful project. But then again as I and others have said if you don't like living here, there are other roads that lead North, South, East & West; take the one of your choice if it's any better.

Well ya'll know what? I have been driving through that area,and Malfunction Junction every since I have been driving,which has been 20 years now and I have never had 1 problem with the design of the interchanges.And to my knowledge there has never been a crash at these two places that was not driver error.I'm not trying to be mean ya'll but SLOW DOWN and watch the other idiots around and you'll be allright.
