The roots of Detroit's current plight go back decades. Court-ordered school busing and the 12th Street riots of 1967 accelerated an exodus of whites to the suburbs, and many middle-class blacks followed, shrinking the city's population from a peak of 1.8 million in the 1950s to half that now.

About 83 percent of the current population is African-American; of cities with more than 100,000 people, only Gary, Ind., had a higher percentage in the latest census.

Detroit's crime, poverty, unemployment and school dropout rates are among the worst of any major U.S. city. The bus system is widely panned; car and home insurance rates are high. Chain grocery stores are absent, forcing many Detroiters to rely on high-priced corner stores.

While I was in Hawaii on business about a month ago, Obama's Grandmother passed away.  Obama never went to her furneral even though the election was over.  Now if people remember, Obama went to Hawaii 3-4 days before the elections because of the very same Grandmother was sick.   Was it a cover?  The reason why I bring this up is that he's in Hawaii again on "Vacation".  But what's weird about this is that his "Chief of Staff" is under the microscope for this Governor boondoogle. 

It doesn't make any sense.  A person that raised you past away and you're a no show to pay respects, but then find time to go to the very same place for a vacation while your "Right hand man" is possibility in trouble in a scandle?   Something doesn't seem right? 

I'm in Hawaii and I decided to see where the "Great One" went to school.  Thinking he's was poor and his Grandmother worked in a Bank.  Well, today the cost to go to that school is $16,000 a year.

Hey don't get mad at me because one of your own got caught being mean to kids. She didn't even have good enough sense to shut up, and NOT do a interview. As-if anyone is surprised at what she did, she’s a republican! She is a good example of why America shouldn’t elect a republican president. the divisiveness the republican party represents. You know the type of people who believe that if Obama is elected he will come and "Take their gun". OK, somebody posted Obama's Live Birth Certificate, now I'm not into these far out therories that he's not born in the U.S., I don't care.  This is the first I seen or heard of it.  Never would have known, because I don't follow that stuff.  Now somebody clear this up for me about this Certificate.  Is this a copy?  Reason why I ask is because my daughter was born in Hawaii in 1989 at Tripler Army Hospital.  I compared the two and they don't match.  My daughter's has a seal and it's much smaller and a lot more information on it.  Now this was done in 1961 compared to 1989.  But comparing the two, they are night and day.
