Jesse Nieto loyally served America as a Marine for 25 years - including 2 combat tours in Vietnam. And as a father, he gave our Nation his most precious
possession - his son, Marc.
Marc and 16 of his Navy shipmates were killed when Islamic terrorists bombed the USS Cole on October 12, 2000.
This summer, the Marine command at Camp Lejeune - for whom Jesse Nieto currently works - ordered him to stop expressing his opposition to Islamic terrorism - the very Islamic terrorism that killed his son.
Jesse Nieto refused to be silenced; he refused to dishonor the death of his son. And so now he’s in the throes of a legal battle to overturn this outrageous order.
Once you know the facts, I’m sure you will agree that ordering Jesse Nieto not to connect Islam with the terrorist attacks that killed his son is political correctness run amuck in the military.
After all Jesse Nieto has done for America - for you and me - will you help fight this outrageous order by making a tax-deductible donation today? He urgently needs your help - NOW.
Click here to donate to his case.
Your donation is tax-deductible.
Here are the facts surrounding this shocking order:
Jesse Nieto is a 25-year Marine veteran whose honorable service to our nation included two combat tours in Vietnam. He achieved the rank of Gunnery Sergeant before retiring from the Corps. Since 1994, Nieto has worked as a civilian employee for his beloved Marines at the Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune in North Carolina.
Tragedy suddenly struck Jesse Nieto on October 12, 2000. That’s when Islamic terrorists killed his youngest son, Marc, and 16 of Marc’s Navy shipmates when they bombed the USS Cole.
Ever since, Nieto has displayed various decals on his vehicle expressing anti-terrorist sentiments. These decals contain messages such as:"Remember the Cole: 12 Oct 2000," "No Quarter Islamic Terrorist," and "We Died, They Rejoiced."

On July 31, 2008, two military police officers (MPs) issued Nieto a ticket for displaying “offensive material.”
Nieto refused to remove the "offensive" decals from his vehicle. Two weeks later, the Base Magistrate ordered him in writing to remove his vehicle from the base until all decals were removed. He further banned Nieto’s vehicle from all other federal installations.
GET THIS: The order prevents Nieto from driving his vehicle to Arlington National Cemetery (a federal installation) to visit the grave of his fallen son.
Jesse asked the Thomas More Law Center for help.
The Thomas More Law Center is a national, nonprofit public interest law firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. After conducting an investigation into the matter, the Thomas More Law Center filed a federal lawsuit against the Camp Lejeune Commanding Officer and the Base Magistrate. The civil rights lawsuit challenges the military’s ban on Nieto’s anti-terrorist decals on the grounds that it violates his constitutional rights to freedom of speech and the equal protection of the law.
The Law Center’s investigation revealed that numerous vehicles are permitted on the Base that display a variety of anti-Christian, sexual, commercial and personal messages. Furthermore, according to information provided to the Law Center pursuant to a Freedom of Information Request, the directive under which Nieto’s decals have been banned has not been enforced at Camp Lejuene for the last 5 years.
So why are they banning decals that express opposition to Islamic terrorism?
The banning of these decals is political correctness run amuck in the military. Our troops are being killed by Islamic terrorists, 9/11 was caused by Islamic terrorists, Islamic terrorists want to destroy America, Islamic nations persecute Christians, and now the Marine command at Camp Lejuene is victimizing a father whose son was killed by Islamic terrorists while serving our nation.
Our attorneys now have to prepare to answer the Government’s lawyers response to our complaint on behalf of Nieto. We also have to prepare for our argument in front of the Federal District Court Judge.

Welcome to Obama Land!!
Duffel bags stuffed with cocaine were delivered by plane to an out-of-the-way suburban Chicago, Illinois airport, while two sheriff's officers provided security. A police officer stood by to guard the cash and keep out the riffraff at a poker game where $100,000 changed hands. And a drug dealer was told squad cars marked "sheriff" and "sheriff's police" might be available on a "freelance" basis to provide protection for his deliveries. Such tales of law enforcement gone awry emerged in court papers Tuesday as federal prosecutors unveiled a series of elaborate sting operations aimed at officers who hired out to ride shotgun for drug dealers, deals and other criminal activities.Fifteen officers and two other men who had pretended to be law enforcement officers were charged with conspiracy to possess and distribute cocaine or heroin or both.
But the most spectacular pretending was done by the federal agents themselves. The pilots of the airplane were not drug runners but undercover agents. So were the gamblers who busily played hand after hand of high-stakes poker, all for show. Also the drug broker who squired the officers to the airport to pick up the duffel bags was an agent. So was the drug dealer who stuffed the bags into his Mercedes-Benz.
U.S. Attorney Patrick J. Fitzgerald said he was dismayed to find that so many law enforcement officers had "sold out their badge."
An undercover FBI agent moved into a business in Harvey, Illinois more than a year ago and set up shop as a drug broker. He soon attracted the attention of police and the corruption grew, authorities said. They said the agent was sent in undercover because there had been reports of police corruption over the last several years in southern Cook County, including the Harvey police department.
Those charged include 10 Cook County sheriff's correctional officers, four Harvey police officers and one Chicago police officer.
Of the 17 defendants, 14 were arrested or surrendered Tuesday and, two sheriff's officers that are on active duty with units in Afghanistan, warrants were issued for their arrest.
Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart called the alleged behavior "absolutely reprehensible." Do you think that may be a bit of an understatement there Tommy boy??

I, for one, do not blog. I am kind of unclear what blogging ctually is BUT someone has got to realize the state of the streets. I got in my share of trouble when young. I had consequences for my actions. Now I see that there is outrage and concern when a young adult pulls a firearm on a policeman and ends up dead. What do you expect? It is not a crime of race, creed, or color but a matter of survival. The streets are a bad place today. And when guns are involved people die. I am not an advocate for or against firearms but if you draw down today as was the old west, you may end up dead. People die for alot less. This story has appeared on the cover of local news and as headlines on TV. Give it a rest! Condolances to the family but the police were so far within thier rights that I am shocked by the outpouring of surprise. Cowboy up people!

I've heard of so many avoidable deaths from carbon monoxide poisoning recently in the news and it made me wonder......
Instead of government helping people to purchase digital TV converters, why don't they help with carbon monoxide detectors?
Here's a link in case you would like to purchase one for your home. I'm getting mine today.

I heard that you should have one for each floor of your house, so this can get expensive.

I feel that anytime ones attention to driving is impaired whether it be alcohol related or in this case related to cell phone usage the outcome is usually devastating. Last August 12,2008 while stopped at a red light on westbound 38th & Sheridan a young lady (not yet twenty-one was texting while driving a brand new Suzuki SX4.. With ZERO skid marks she plowed into the rear of a 1983 Chevy Blazer at approx 35 to 40mph. Her vehicle went underneath the Blazer lifting it up & launched it into the rear of my 2007 Cadillac DTS which in turn was launched into the rear of a late model Toyota pickup. The Suzuki was completly destroyed, the Blazer which was in mint condition sustained approx 8 to 10k worth of damage & my Cadillac sustained 18k worth of damage. The Toyota sustained extremely minor damage. The video of the accident which I took via my cell phone indeed shows the end result of inattentive driving as was the unfortunate case now unfolding in Fort Collins.

Personally, I can see the need for a cell phone ban...the only problem comes with enforcement. New laws mean more officers, and with serious crime on the rise, is that really how we should be utilizing our resources...creating new laws doesn't make people responsible, it just creates more criminals.

PREGNANT TURKEY STORY
One year at Thanksgiving, my mom went to my sister's house for the
traditional feast. Knowing how gullible my sister is, my mom decided to play
a trick.
She told my sister that she needed something from the store.
When my sister left, my mom took the turkey out of the oven, removed the
stuffing, stuffed a Cornish hen, and inserted it into the turkey, and
re-stuffed the turkey. She then placed the bird(s) back in the oven.
When it was time for dinner, my sister pulled the turkey out of the oven
and proceeded to remove the stuffing. When her serving spoon hit something,
she reached in and pulled out the little bird.
With a look of total shock on her face, my mother exclaimed, "Patricia,
you've cooked a pregnant bird!" At the reality of this horrifying news, my
sister started to cry.
It took the family two hours to convince her that turkeys lay eggs!
Yep................SHE'S BLONDE!

Just in -- Cort Wrotnowski's (CT) case was denied late yesterday by Justice Ginsburg (
now there's a surprise). It was resubmitted to Justice Scalia, and then was taken for anthrax testing. Leo Donofrio (NJ) is fighting mad about the delay caused by this detour and is asking for demonstrations in front of the Supreme Court building.
Donofrio's case will be discussed by the Justices on Friday, and says Obama is not eligible because he is not natural-born. Wrotnowski's case is similar, except Donofrio says it is even better written and stronger than his own. Donofrio believes the two must be heard together.
Update: Cort Wrotnowski, (SCOTUS Docket No. 08A469), a day after facing the shock of his life when told by a SCOTUS clerk that his renewed application to Justice Scalia would be held back for 7 days due to anthrax screening, hand delivered 10 copies of his renewed application to the Security booth at SCOTUS this morning at 10:30 AM.
Cort was told by the Clerk’s office that the papers would "probably" be in the Clerk’s office by 2:00 PM. Cort’s application, according to Supreme Court Rule 22.1, should be "transmitted promptly" to the Honorable Associate Justice Antonin Scalia. Keep your eyes on that Docket to see if they will follow the Rules of Court.

Randy Goodman, 47, of Sedalia, is seen with the buck that injured him Nov. 16. Goodman shot the deer twice, but it did not go gently into the night. The buck attacked Goodman, cutting his head, before he finished the job.
SEDALIA, Mo. — A Sedalia hunter bagged a big buck on the second day of firearms season, but the kill caused him a lot of pain.
Forty-nine-year-old Randy Goodman said he thought two well-placed shots with his .270-caliber rifle had killed the buck on Nov. 19. Goodman said the deer looked dead to him, but seconds later the nine-point, 240-pound animal came to life.
The buck rose up, knocked Goodman down and attacked him with his antlers in what the veteran hunter called "15 seconds of hell." The deer ran a short distance and went down, and died after Goodman fired two more shots.
Soon Goodman started feeling dizzy and noticed his vest was soaked in blood.
So he reached his truck and drove to a hospital, where he received seven staples in his scalp and was treated for a slight concussion and bruises.
