I had Brighthouse up until a couple of years ago. I had purchased a hd tv and went with their hd service. But for some reason on some of the hd channels Brighthouse had, the picture would go blank. I still would have sound but no picture. I would have to change channels just to get the hd picture. They had come out to my house 5 different times, swapped hd boxes and other things but still the same thing. I finally got aggravated and went with Directv, the best move I ever made when it comes to watching tv. I lose the signal every once in a while during torrential down pours and I mean a gully washer but that is few and far between. Dirctv added 27 hd channels which brings my total to 40 hd channels last week, not counting the ones I don't get. Directv says they will have 70 hd channels by years end. My opinion, the picture is better on a satellite than on cable. All my channels are digital and I know that on cable, some channels are still in analog format. I'm glad that I dumped my cable.
