Where are all of the Hollywood celebrities holding telethons asking for help
in restoring Iowa and helping the folks affected by the floods?

Where is all the media asking the tough questions about why the federal
government hasn't solved the problem? Asking where the FEMA trucks (and
trailers) are?

Why isn't the Federal Government relocating Iowa people to free hotels in
Chicago ?

When will Spike Lee say that the Federal Government blew up the levees that
failed in Des Moines ?

Where are Sean Penn and the Dixie Chicks?

Where are all the looters stealing high-end tennis shoes and big screen
television sets?

When will we hear Governor Chet Culver say that he wants to rebuild a
'vanilla' Iowa , because that's the way God wants it?

Where is the hysterical 24/7 media coverage complete with reports of
cannibalism?

Where are the people declaring that George Bush hates white, rural people?

How come in 2 weeks, you will never hear about the Iowa flooding ever
again?

Hey, I'm just sayin'.  Maybe I just see things in a different light, but I see an awful lot of truth in the above questions. No REV. Al, no REV Jesse, no Kane  West(con-yay), none of these cats that threw blame and pointed fingers in the aftermath of Katrina.

If I stare at this long enough I think I may start to see a pattern..... I could be wrong.

Bye the way.... I won't take even an inkling of credit for the questions, I just thought it made some sense when I saw it and figured I'd share.

I don't like the DIXIE CHICKS either

The differences in the two disasters started well before the actual flooding did.

You could start with the night before the flooding, though, when Iowa townspeople were either:

A) Able-bodied and filling/laying sandbags, or
B) Disabled and evacuating (like they were TOLD).

People didn't have time to stand around and bi#@h about George Bush, they were busy taking the basic steps for survival. They were not waiting for FEMA to come and save them.

The folks in Iowa have not known a life of welfare entitlements, they were not trained by their government to be completely helpless and dependant.

If ever there was a case for the elimination of the entitlement programs, I believe we have a perfect case study right here before our very eyes.

There's a big difference bwtween people who take care of themselves and the people who want the government to take care of them. The funny thing is the people who want the government to take care of them after a disaster weren't takeing care of themselves before the disaster.

I hope this blog is being reached by Charliecharlie. Thank you to your response. If I read my email correctly, Fox 31 rejected my message and stated that it had to go to Community, not News. Well, I attempted to redo it again this a.m., but I guess I am not as computer literate as I would like to be because I saw no category labeled Community. I sent a message to Fox 31 in regard to this dilemma and ask for assistance in getting through to them. Also, this morning I called Marie again at The Salvation Army. Anyway, whoever the Captain is that makes the hiring decisions did not leave my name in his "box" for her. He is expected to report to work sometime up to about 10:00 a.m. today. Then it depends on if or when he makes a decision. Marie said she would call me back when she hears from him. To me that means another day of no work. Of course, by the sound of her voice, that meant nothing to her. She has her secure job in her nice warm office and drawing her salary. Anyway, I hope things turn around for me soon. I have called CDS and left word that I am ready to accept any part-time employment that they may have for me and that I have decided not to return to The Salvation Army. I have just lost too much money fooling around with them and their nonsense.

Folks call me Chuck. Americas morals and standards are on a downhill slide. Me.... I blame it on the Democrats and the non-God fearing spineless dope smoking sissyliberals. The greatest nation in the world is losing it's grip on what's right. The unfortunate thing is..... we are our own worst enemy.
