I really do not think that you will find statistics as accurate as these. All studies/surveys have their error margins. However,  considering the sources, (DOD etc.,) and those responsible for this report, it is the most preferred and factual report yet to be conducted on this conflict.  The following is just a brief run-down of this report as it is quite extensive and covers an incredible amount of work. You will find no where, accuracy as at this site. Please click of the following website rather than read the small bits of info that I have chose:

The actual figure for deaths in this war is roughly 6500.. Almost half of which occured in New York City on Sept.11, 2001 in the space of a little more then an hour...

Given the losses suffered since and the perpensity of the Barbaric Enemy to attack CIVILIANS and THEIR responsibility for MOST of them,,for which YOU blame America, the objective to rid America of an ongoing threat of TERRORISM is going admirably well.....

Hawkeye's a blind bat--Good for your twisted way of justifying over 2 million unjustified deaths as going "admirably well." I know you can stand tall and be proud as you are far removed from many's grief in you safe home, in America. Again your figures are spun out of proportion as only an idiot would wildly guess without actual fact. Actually it was 2,993 (including 19 terrorists)that died in our 911. And you don't feel a tad bit sad for these dead innocents in Iraq's 911, do you? And check you figures on Iraq. Your off by many and if it was just one, that one, single, death changed many lives forever. You sure don't know your shaet when it comes to actuality. 6500 deaths, your an idiot's idiot. Your ignorant and ill capable to quote such off the wall figures. And thanks again for diverting from topic w/ your hate and spin. Get a life.

Whatever the actual count is, I doubt you've lost any sleep over it all.

So know you have progressed to the point that you acknowledge that "it is a matter of concern," to where "one could lose sleep" over any or all deaths that have occurred due to this Conflict? Quite remarkable! And you are allowed this grief. Congratulations, you can feel the emotion of human loss.
Or are you just referring to our US Troop's deaths? Or, are you at all? Your past acknowledgement has been that "it's just what happens during war time." If this is still your stance, can you feel anything for the deaths' of any Middle Eastern the same way you might feel for Americans? And this is what my stance has been all along even tho you Cons try to spin it around to where I am the bad guy just because I feel bad/sad that any and all are dying unnecessarly. Trust me, it is my family, my friends, both American Service men and women; and the deaths of Middle Easterner's and soldiers from all countries involved that are dying. And it has been my cries for this death that have been landing on you few Con's deaf ears as they could have been avoided without jeopardizing freedom for anyone.

We should have pulled out Militarily when Bush announced in to the world that from the flight deck of the USS Abraham Lincoln, in a nationally televised address, that "major combat operations in Iraq have ended." You remember when he arrived and the exterior of the four-seat S-3B Viking was marked with "Navy 1" and "George W. Bush Commander in Chief." It was during this week that the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) started to seek bids from consultants to help privatize s

state-owned Iraqi industries -- including the oil industry -- it was also the week that Britain announced that it would be "wetting it's beak" by sending to Baghdad Chris Segar who would lead Britain's involvement and work with the U.S.-led Office of Reconstruction and Humanitarian Assistance and other organizations, and "maintain contact with emerging political figures within Iraq." Bush would have emerged a hero in the eyes of the world if he stopped at this point in time. But his plans and "visions of grandeur," were already well planned out and gave Americans a "hint" to where we are today by the senior Bush administration officials announcing that U.S. forces have captured a member of an AL Qaeda-affiliated terror group operating in Iraq. Officials conveniently did not provide a name to this terrorist. They did release that the captive conventially and generally belonged to a group operating out of the west of Baghdad under the leadership of Abu Musab al Zarqawi, a Jordanian who U.S. officials allege at the time masterminded the October assassination of U.S. diplomat Lawrence Foley in Amman. To me the Americans were slowly being duped by the Bush Administration into playing "follow the leader" in a well-planned, perhaps years, deception that would make many of his cronies very wealthy.
But little did Bush know he would end up playing the fool as his greed blocked any vision of what could possibly backfire in his face as it has today. Or what I believe, is he did know what would happen and simply; "he has no concious."

American Deaths In Iraq Total 3555 by YOUR OWN COUNT you Stupid F%$kING Moron.Add THAT to the 2993 who died on 9/11 and you get roughly 6500..

As for the So-called Millions of others who have Died, Almost ALL at the hands of TERORISTS, in the War EVERY one of them is a REASON for our being there..If YOU weren't so Incredibly STUPID You would Already Know that..

No wonder half of the people on this site want to snap your mangy EDIT in half..It amazing that your feeble brain generates enough power for YOU to operate a keyboard...

I stand by my assertion!!

Perfect example of misrepresentation of facts!

I see connot has ONLY started counting bodies now. Failed to add to his post the average death rate of military annually even before the re-instatement of operations was over a thousand a year. Clinton lost 4,417 in his first term alone!(Peacetime!)

The blood spilled now would be not even HALF had the libs in the 90s done their job! Democrats are the ones who crushed the military, and now point fingers?

historian.PBIE.connot, its guys like you that are empowering the enemy, and using the military for selfish political ambitions!

Hey... did ANY of your sources give the number of children inoculated for disease now? The count on how many are going to school maybe.. (including women..)
How many have sewer and potable water now vice before, electricity up 75% total Iraq last count, (See Murtha spin in my blog)

Do you really think it comes free? Hey how about a count on how many bad guys have died... Last time I looked nobody know how anything was doing unless the score on both sides was given....
Typical Liberals... half a story, and proud to slap our military in the face while they do work that should have already been done!!

I have come to the conclusion that YOU should just drop your other screen names..NONE are as appropriate as is the one you go by here on this post..YOU’RE certainly NOT an Historian of ANY repute..
But “cannot” is as appropriate as it is accurate.

You “cannot “ tell the Truth,, indeed, you “cannot” even recognize or admit it..
You “cannot” even discuss the points that YOU “cut and paste” …Your knowledge of the subject never goes futher then the Programmed Anti-American Rhetoric that YOU present..
You “cannot” abide Debate..Instead you resort Immediately to name calling and sarcasm,,the very HALLMARK of a WEAK or NON-EXISTANT position..
You “cannot” understand why others “cannot” understand YOUR hatred for this country so YOU resort to name calling there too..
You “cannot” tolerate ANY whose opinions don’t reflect your SKEWED and DISTORTED views..

For THESE and MANY other reasons,,YOU “ cannot” be taken SERIOUSLY and THIS, as IS the case in ALL such instances where the Truth is apparent to everyone but yourself,,,YOU “ cannot” understand this SIMPLE fact of life……
