Instead of the state spending big bucks on photo radar, they should spend it on left turn signals and red light cameras.

Most intersection collisions are caused by people running the light or the classic "I did not see him". No you were not paying atttention. You would have seen him.

There are so many red light runners it is just crazy. Many of those collisions end in serious injuries and many motorcyclist seriously injured, (not just head injuries for those not wearing helmets) but other serious injuries. Many in 4 wheeled vehicles have injuries also.

Put in left turn signals and red light photo enforcement. That would help stop collisions.

People are in far too much of a rush to blow the intersection. Pay attention. Hang up the phone. DRIVE.

Also, and I am sure I will get some negitive feed back,. FOR THE SNOWBIRDS: OLD AGE IS NO EXCUSE FOR BAD DRIVING. If you can barely move your legs to walk, or can barely see, DONT DRIVE. YOU ARE A DANGER AND WILL CAUSE A COLLISION.

I just recently moved and wanted to create what is known as a room mate account at my new residence. That way we can both have our own modems and have the privacy and security we like. Well Cox totally botched it up, merged both accounts into the new one and now it will take 2+ days to fix what they screwed up in minutes.

Due to someones inability to do their job as requested, I have spent 2 hours on the phone with some of the most uncopperative un caring customer service reps in my life. So now I am paying for services I can not use. They botched up the email and on Rep number 5, he fixed that part. I am now on Rep number 7.

No one at Cox seems to care anymore. In the past I never had any issues and have been a total Cox customer for 8 years. It really is a shame that Cox is the lesser of two evils.

Qwest is worse then Cox if you can believe that.

I guess the customer to Cox is Crap.

Thanks Cox Communications.  For nothing.

Why is it when something happens, like a murder, odd death etc all we hear about is the sensational incendent, but no followup.

There was a woman in Surprise at the gas station that was unidentified and burned to death at the gas pumps in her car. What happend.

Drive by shootings, people shot, etc no follow up. Was anyone apprehended?

I know the followup is not nearly as fasinating as the event, but I am sure I am not the only one who wants to have follow up.

Every so often a govt agency releases a study that auto related deaths are up 8%

Motorcycle deaths up 11%. Crime up 12%. (these percentages are for examples only)

But what they dont tell you is the amount of increase in regestered cars/motorcycles over that period of time.

Or with crime, how much has the population gone up? If you have an icrease in poplulation of 40% and crime goes up 11% well yes, more crime is not good, but we had a much larger increase in population more crime goes with growth.

These stats are incomplete. Perhaps when they release this infomation, they release all of it.

Amount of car/motorcycle regestration increse vs deaths/accidents.

Again, lop-sided reporting by the gov't . Give us all the facts please.

Why can't they just stick to the issues. I am really tired of all the bashing and putting down. Even Hillary and barak, they bashed each other. That makes the whole party look bad.

I actually was for Hillary when she first started, I vote for the person not the party, then I realized, the chick is nuts......No thanks.

Lets just keep to the issues and then when election is over, the question will be if they really keep their promises.

The millions they spend on elections could be better spent on the economy. Amazing how many people will donate big $$$$ but ask them to help the homeless or give more to education, cancer research...you get the drift.

They could have built an oil refinery for what the all spent on campaigning. :) or at least purchased a tank of gas for me. :)

It seems the state is running out of money for highways. They want to add another tax to make and improve our highways.

Several things have been said. They want to go to "outside" contractors to invest in our roads. Translation.......TOLL ROADS!!!!!

Then they said that they did not see the growth in the valley. BULL POOP. These new housing developments did not come from no where. All of these communities were planned any where from 10 to 15 years ago. "Someone" knew about the growth. Again we all have to pay to make bigger roads because of all the new homes built so far from Phoenix. (most people work in this area that live way out there)

How can they say they never saw it coming. Mass transit should have been planned back then, now our air quality is in the toilet bowl from all the commutters. (Yes I commute, but I bought my home close to where I work) Don't blame the dust. When most of this area was farms, the dust particulates were much higher and no air quality issues. But this is a topic of another color.

We are going to have to pay for the state and counties lack of planning.

I attended the Glendale Glitters on two occasions this year and just recently the Chocolate festival.

I must say I have noticed how rude and inconsiderate people are. We were pushed and shoved as people walked by us. We were off the side walk looking at the vendors on the grass. These were not kids but adults. No one said excuse me, or was even apologetic in the least.

I have been here since 95 and watched the events grow. I really enjoy them but with all of these rude people, it really takes the fun out if.

Why is it ok for us to allow people from other countries to own realestate here, but we can not own real estate in their country.

Mexico, Japan, China, and many others.

Why don't we reciprocate with other countries they way they do with us?

Whe allow Mexican citizens to own real estate here, when Mexico does not allow us to own real estate there.

Why do we have so many double standards?
Many countries will jail American Citizens for minor infractions for years, but if we do that to their citizens we are the bad guys.

Why do we allow ourselves to be held to a different set of standards then we hold other countries.

Why are we so damn worried about PC? Why are we so worried about what others think?

Am I mean? No. Just angry. I have a right to be angry.

I understand the enormous cost in running an election campaign.

If the politicians were so worried about the people they represent, perhaps instead of those people donating mega dollars to the politicans, to run mega campaigns perhaps a lower key, lower $$$ campaign should be run and take some of the would be campaign funds and put them to good use. Education funds, highway funds.
If these people that make these huge donations for politicians, why cant they donate to something better. I know it is their money and they can do with it as they wish, but com on folks.
How many millions are spent on elections?

Our PC politicians are blaming the “brown cloud” on the few that have fireplaces, and driving or operating motor vehicles on dirt roads and river bottoms.

Truth is, look around. The brown cloud is not over the dirt roads or river bottoms, or even fireplaces. The brown cloud is concentrated near the freeways and high traffic areas. Go to some place in the valley at a slightly higher elevation. White Tank Mtn area is a great example. Look! Look towards I-10. Go to Cave Creek area and look towards the 101. Go to New River and look at I-17. You can see the brown cloud. Last time I checked all of those roads are paved or concrete. There is no lingering brown cloud going up to Crown King, in the Lake Pleasant are.

It was not that long ago that a good part of the roads were dirt. There was not brown cloud then.

Face it PC politicians, Face the real issue. Stop playing games. Lets get public transportation, not this light rail system lining some ones pocket. The light rail will financially destroy businesses in the area of the rail. It already has.

Build an elevated rail system, it works in Chicago, New York and Las Vegas to name a few. Get bus lines running from the out side areas of Phoenix.

This valley is growing fast. All of these master planned communities did not happen over night. All the politicians knew about it, these were all planned 20 years ago. No one thought about expanding the roads, or public transportation until now? Now that is being Pro-active, Oh yeah Politicians, wake up, do something other then taking money from us. There are politicians that want to stay in office so they can get benefits for life. Not to help us.

Ok folks, I am tired of the no smoking laws, cars, bars, don't speed with your kids in the car laws. This and that bs law. Ok, laws should be created to protect us from others. Murder, attacks, theft, etc.

If I want to go to a bar where people smoke, or I smoke, my choice. If some one leaves that bar drunk and causes bodily injury to me, not my choice.

If I am on my motorcycle not wearing a helmet/safety equipment and I have a wreck, get injured because I was not properly dressed/protected, I made the choice to ride that way. If some one runs a red light, stop sign and hits me, not my choice.

If I am driving down the road in my car, paying attention, and some moron is texting while driving and hits me, not my choice.

Profiling is individuals is becoming required. Why? If you cause a collision, you don't have a license, a Police officer should have the right to question the non-english speaking individual why he or she does not have a license or insurance for that matter.

This country is the melting pot. However, I know my family came here legally, and learned to speak english.

Loitering in driveways of anywhere is illegal, why, it is dangerous for the motorist as well as the pedestrian. I do not want my insurance to have to pay for your hospital bill because you walked in front of my car.

I will no longer put up with or be politically correct.

Why are we so PC?
Why do we give in to the minority?
I am not Christian. I am not offended by "MERRY CHRISTMAS"
Many do wish me "HAPPY CHANUKAH"

They are Christmas lights, that is what they have been called forever.
It is the holiday season, say it. Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, Happy Quanza.

"In God We Trust" removed from $$$,?????
no more pledge of allegance to the flag of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
If you live here, show your loyalty. If you are not loyal to the country in which you live, LEAVE.

If you do not like it, don't say it, don't participate.

Enough of worrying about hurting someones feelings. I am no
longer a fat person, I am a "big" or "large" person, face it
enough is enough. Stop giving in!

Men, hold the door for a woman, open the car door.

I could go on for ever, but enough is enough.

I have seen this time and time again. I just do not understand.

On the freeway this morning, around 4:45 am. I was in the right lane cruzin at about 70 mph no one in front of me for at least 1/2 mile. Real light traffic. A car pulls on to the
freeway, goes to the center lane, and slows to around 60 mph.
Why would some one do that? No one in front of them in the right lane. I saw in my mirror after I passed him, vehicles traveling in the center lane, getting backed up.
If you are going to travel below the speed limit, why do you insist on staying in the center lane. That can surely cause a wreck even others are going the speed limit.

I would like to thank those drivers that are not trying to control the flow of traffic, are courteous to cars and especially motorcycles and pedestrians in cross walks.
Those who know the proper way to signal, and pay attention while driving.

We all violate the motorvehicle laws at some time or another. Anyone who does not admit that is lying to themselves.

But I just want to thank those who do pay attention, even if speeding, move over when another vehicle comes up behind them and even signals.

The rest of you cell phone using, text messaging, discourteous EDIT, KISS MY BUTT:)
You will get payed back some day by some one.

First, I ride a motorcycle. Don't beat me up for it. I know the dangers. I am not new, I have been riding since I was 13.

I was on 101 west side going south. About 5:30 PM. Center lane, cars to my left, I was going around 70 mph, cars to my left were going faster. There were cars to my right. I see a late model white, lifted chevy pickup get on the freeway, accelerates to get in front of the car in the right lane, this guy was on the cell phone, continued to move into my lane, kept moving over, I sounded my horn, he just kept coming, I had no where to go. Almost pinched between him and the cars in the left. Fortunatly, the car in the left saw this backed off and I was able to move over, I looked at the guy in the pickup, on the phone totally oblivious to what happened, when I motioned to him I pointed at my eyes, indicating look, pay attention, he gave me the hand under the chin thing, you know what I mean, and moved over to try to pinch me over.

What gives?

I am sure I would the "but I did not see you" or "thats what you get for riding a motorcycle", but the same thing has happend to me when I drive my truck.

Don't people look?
