YOU MIGHT BE A DEMOCRAT IF...

* You feel Fidelity means not cheating on your mistress.

* You think that pornography corrupts women, but find nothing wrong with a 50 year old president seducing a 21 year old intern.

* You cry every May 4th over the four people killed at Kent State, but have never been to the Vietnam Memorial.

* Along the same lines, "Four Dead in OHIO" by Neil Young gives you goosebumps, but "19" by Paul Hardcastle means nothing to you.

* You say shows like "Leave It to Beaver" are out of touch with America today, while you flip to your soap opera.

* You know of the stockpile of biological weapons in Iraq, but think that the US is wrong for not signing the land mines treaty.

* You want to know why we don't offer schooling in prisons (hey, isn't that what public schools are for).

* You think those stupid ribbons actually accomplish something.

* You tout the NAACP, but criticize anyone referring to a black man as a "colored person."

* You think a mother has a right to kill an innocent 5 month fetus because her pregnancy would interfere with her career, but feel we shouldn't put to death the man who raped and murdered 14 women.

* You feel that banning smoking in public indoor places limits your constitutional rights.

* You feel that being convicted of treason is an infringement on your first amendment rights.

* You honestly feel that alcoholics deserve social security disability benefits.

* You outwardly said "I would have voted for Elizabeth Dole" knowing darn well you wouldn't have because she is a Republican.

* You think it is ok for a President to commit perjury on his sex life, but criticize Dan Quayle for spelling potato/potatoe wrong.

* You stood on a soapbox demanding that Anita Hill be heard, but want Paula Jones' accusations to be swept under the rug.

* You think the guy who drops out of High School and builds your jeep deserves more money than the doctor who went to college for 10 years and saves your kids life.

* You sang along to "Give Peace a Chance" during the Gulf War.

* You've filed for unemployment within two weeks of getting out of high school.

* You went to Woodstock II and felt that it was a significant historical event, changing the way our country thinks.

* You own something that says, "Dukakis for President," and still display it.

* You've tried to argue in favor of anything based on, "Well, they're gonna do it anyway so..."

* You've ever said, "We really should call the ACLU about this."

* You believe that a few hundred loggers can find another career, but the defenseless spotted owl must live in its preferred tree.

* You ever based an argument on the phrase, "But they can afford a tax hike because..."

* You've ever argued that with just one more year of welfare that person will turn it around and get off drugs.

* You think Lennon was a brilliant social commentator.

* You keep count of how many people you know in each racial or ethnic category.

* You believe our government must do it because everyone in Europe does.

* After looking at your pay stub you can still say, "America is undertaxed."

*You fly around in your own personal jet trying to BS all those evil Americans how they should feel guilty about global warming.

*You believe folks are too stupid to think for themselves, therefore, hand over your paycheck and I'll promise you "change".

*You feel good about yourself when you attempt to appease a terrosist.

This is stupid. So are its "republican" counterparts.

Would someone mind telling me exactly what a liberal or conservative is without using excessive cliches or dwelling on misinformation? Do any of you possess even a shred of critical thought, intellectual discretion? If not (and you're unwilling to better yourself), why do you even try? This stuff is above you. It would really be best if you stuck to hocking beer and watching reality TV.

No sense of humor? Ever notice the only response by the Dems are to attack, you are dumb, you are on drugs, you are a racist, you must kling to your guns and bible etc. Sure makes a person sick when people close their minds to the possibility someone else might be right. I like the blog.

Thanks truth....and spot on I might add! Libs are easily offended, I know. Just take sinister here....so outraged, clutching fists, steam coming out of his ears, that all he could do was copy off his own blog and post it on mine! HAHAHA! Get your "Game Boy" on sinister...you suck at this.

Sis- what "misinformation"? Specifically? And why do you assume that this is all Republicans? Newsflash- Diz and I are both Democrats. We've been there- and back. Young elitists- sigh...to be so ignorant and yet so confident. Get out into the world a little and we'll talk in 10 years.

Liberals believe in re-distribution of wealth and gov't regulation. They are generally anti-free trade, pro-union, pro-abortion, and anti-military. They believe in environmentalism before fiscal progress and real-life maintenence of our resources. They believe in open-borders and subsidization and the class struggles that come with these policies. All these things lead to a bigger gov't and more control. They believe in political appeasement, here and abroad. This policy has led to every both World Wars that Europe has started, and both Iraq wars.

Learn anything?

Careful Mom....you're going to blow his little mind. He will not understand how a registered Democrat could post such a thing on her blog. But as you said - been there, and back!

I'm a teenager. There's no such thing as "too soon," and anything can be made the subject of a joke. However, there's a catch: it has to be funny. These stupid lists are so widely distributed that, even if they had been clever in the first place, they've become incredibly mundane and are not usually received well by anyone with an IQ over 30.

What you described sounds more like a socialist than a generic liberal.

Anyway, when did I say anything about republicans? I think you misunderstood me. The only time I used the word "republican" was when I was referring to the "you might be a republican if blah blah blah stupid stupid stupid" lists (hence my use of the word "counterparts" in referring to the list rather than the pricks that create them), which are equally (if not more) retarded.

"What you described sounds more like a socialist than a generic liberal."

No- my Papa was a true Socialist who escaped true fascism in Italy, and the Socialists are much more severe- the gov't lets the people think that all are getting an equal distribution of all wealth, while the gov't rakes in and skilled professions are supported by the gov't. Class fracture is how they control- there is no middle.

What I described is what liberals today believe in. You're smart- check out what the Dems in Congress are doing right now with attempting to regulate the free market system, and Obama's earlier campaign rhetoric about "investments" in programs. Where do you think the $$$$ for these investments comes from? Middle, upper middle, and small business class taxpayers. If you REALLY want to understand, study macro-economics, the taxation and global authority policy differences between the Dem presidents and the Repub presidents in the last 25 years. Learn history, look at cause & effect- you do the math.

No, unfortunately, what I described is a modern liberal agenda. I don't agree with everything that die-hard conservatives do, either, but I am much more in line with them, as a small business owner who pays over 55% of our income in taxes.

Sinister - you seriously need to get a grip! Especially here on my blog. You can post ALL the elementary Bart Simpson, liberal lovin', panty waste EDIT you want in the middle of the night on your own blog. And if you have anything there that someone wants to comment on, they will. (And most wont start out by saying "this is stupid" either.) So far, you've only managed to run around and piss people off while making an ass of yourself. Take Mom's and gj's advise....because you won't like mine!

I actually think I have shown plenty of respect for your skills, Sinister- albeit less so before I found that you were 16. I have made allowances for that, behaviorally.

But Diz makes a very valid point about your approach. She may not care about impressing you, but trust me, she knows up from down on a completely different level than you do. She's calling a spade a spade, and she is VERY bright- she just doesn't feel like she has to shove it down others' throats. I may be pretentious in my style, as you claim- I don't see that, but I won't fight with you about it. But Diz is not. Are you that much of an elitist already? There is a lot to learn and benefit from relationships with all different kinds of people. The day you treat my friend with respect, and realize your own limitations, you will have taken a step towards being a more mature person. That's not brain-power, which you have plenty of; it's life experience.

Off on my only vacation for 2 years- get out in the sun and enjoy the rest of your summer break.
