Although I am not a fan of his style or genre, I wanted to listen to an album that, I felt, was overly hyped for several weeks. The first thing that caught me ,it wasn't very original. It seemed like just another rap song. After listening to several tracks, I still was not able to pen down the hoopla about this artist and his music. The lyrics were all the same, incorporating lose women and materialistic pursuits. I did determined, however, he used the N-bomb ,incredibly,on numerous occasions throughout his tracks. I found that to be quite interesting. Very recently, the comedian, who played "Kramer" on Seinfeld , has come under harsh criticism(deservedly) for using the N-bomb that was directed at a group of disrespectful hecklers. On his new album, ,Jay z used the N-bomb as his M.O. What's even more interesting, white middle class kids are Jay-Zs larger purchaser's. They love his lyrics. How Ironic is that? You cannot convince me that these purchasers aren't repeating such a horrible word as they sang along with his tunes. How Ironic! Overall, I gave this album a thumbs down.
