During these trouble economic times, lest we not forget a VERY similar situation where as I recall MANY elderly lost their total retirement investments due to McCain's "poor judgment" when he accepted $112,000 in contributions (and perhaps $13,000 in gifts and trips) as a quid quo pro to get federal officials to back of on regulating the fraudulent phony investment assets (backed up by poor real estate investments) of Charles Keating of Lincoln Savings and Loan.
