I'm not one to congratulate the liberal majority on a victory, mainly because they don't have very many, but...

Good job on the liquor bill allowing booze sales on Sundays.

This bill is a good example of something that the majority of the people have wanted for some time, but that the politicians, lobbyists, and special interests have not allowed us to have.

Let me repeat that:  Something that the MAJORITY of Coloradans have wanted for some time, but the POLITICIANS have routinely ignored the requests of the majority in order to appease the people that bribe them.

There is a good lesson to be learned here, and that lesson is this:

If your representative is not representing YOU, then he/she/it MUST be replaced by someone who will.

Vote, folks.

I heard some chatter about this, but was unaware it was happening so soon.

Do you know when it becomes law?

Just in time for the DNC. Don't want the rest of the country thinking this is a hick town.

Talia! Hope you're happy and well.

Dizzee, call the cops. My neighbors fight every night of the week. After talking to the cops every night, they now have to do it somewhere else (probably next door to you-sorry!).

Thanks a lot gjflash! j/k The cops are there so much it's just become a way of life for them. One gets hauled off, then the other and it just doesn't seem to bother (or embarrass) them anymore. Sundays seemed to be the only peaceful day around there, for whatever reason.

Cant wait to have a choice of red wine on a Sunday afternoon....
What other topics might you be refering to GJ? (regarding majority of voters being ignored by their representatives)

I live in Oldtown, and look forward to peaceful Sunday nights. I for one sure dissappointed the bill did make it for Sunday Sales. Business is business....we are sposed to have one day to rest.
I did listen to some of the discussion of a business owner who is lookin forward to have a day of the week off to do her business cause she is an owner....I get phone calls for political reasons supporting or opposing certain bills: the latest bein for Keflas to amend a bill comin that will OPEN the discretion of ill persons with HIV in the medical field to the public??? --if i heard the call right!

spcasm...I wasn't aware that open containers were allowed in old town...I love that part of town, can't wait for the concerts to start again...I know there is or at least 1 liquer store right down there, but does the sales really promote that much drinking in the area? I would thing that the bars would be more of a problem for residents there..

Immigration is the first thing that springs to mind, WKD-RDR.

About 80% of Americans want our immigration laws enforced.

About 80% of the politicians LOVE illegals (100% of the stupid liberals).

I also doubt the accuracy of that 80% number,
I have NEVER met an American who doesn't want our laws enforced. Never.

I'm a Dad, a construction contractor, a foodie, an artist, and a patriot. I'm also very afraid. I used to live in the United States, but I now reside in latin America (and I never even had to move!). I like to argue current events with facts (along with simple, reasonable human logic). I don't suffer fools gladly, so liberals, please bring your facts (if you have any). I'm a huge Denver sports fan (30 years on the bandwagon), but my favorite teams are, by far, the ones my kids play on.
