Hey Karl, I see you've turned your comments off.  Is that because you're too chickenspit to debate your ignorant ramblings, or because you feel the intellectual authority to lecture people?

It doesn't matter, we'll just comment on it (and you) here.

McCains Speesh

I listened to McCain give his speech last evening, I waited to hear a plan come out of the speech.

I guess I didn't hear a plan because he don't have one. more of the same.

McCain said "change" 10 times but not once said how he would change anything.

A man without a plan is not a man

First of all, people who don't allow for debate on their positions should be put into the same category as people who diss on POW's and people who talk on their cell phone at the movies.

A man without the strength to discuss his positions is not a man.

Karl, you didn't hear a plan in McCain's speech because you weren't listening:

"I will keep taxes low and cut them where I can. My opponent will raise them. I will open new markets to our goods and services. My opponent will close them. I will cut government spending. He will increase it. My tax cuts will create jobs. His tax increases will eliminate them. My health care plan will make it easier for more Americans to find and keep good health care insurance. His plan will force small businesses to cut jobs, reduce wages, and force families into a government-run health care system where a bureaucrat stands between you and your doctor.

Keeping taxes low helps small businesses grow and create new jobs. Cutting the second-highest business tax rate in the world will help American companies compete and keep jobs from moving overseas. Doubling the child tax exemption from $3,500 to $7,000 will improve the lives of millions of American families. Reducing government spending and getting rid of failed programs will let you keep more of your own money to save, spend and invest as you see fit. Opening new markets and preparing workers to compete in the world economy is essential to our future prosperity."

The funny thing is, most Americans had a lot of the same things to say about Obama's speech.

Obama used the word "change" 17 times, and was also pretty vague about how to do it.

The bottom line is, the party nomination acceptance speech is typically not the place to spell out policy specificity. It's usually more about political grandstanding.

We'll learn a lot more about policy when the debates come up. We'll learn a lot more about Obama during the town hall debates as well (assuming he shows, that is).

Think nothing of of it gj, even the constituents are freeking out over Palin.

I think obamas plan is to keep pretending that he's running against Bush. After all he's got karl convinced.

This just got really interesting.

Barack Obama is a socialist hiding (and protected) under the Democract's shelter. I dislike him, not because he lies and is chrismatic enough to fool people like Karl with glamour and bright lights, but because he will work aggressively to undermind our asssured legal rights.

He tried already to silence free speech about his corrupt running of a Chicago based Educational program back in the 90's, and that shows his substance in my opinion. Free speech is the cornerstone and gaurentor of our liberties. It's sheltered, protected, and promoted every freedom the modern society we live in currently enjoy. The show of a leader is how he deals with his critics. Well Obama? What say you?

PS. GF, keep up the good work! :) Its funny how those opinionated Dem's and liberals are all to happy to talk you down as long as you can't talk them up.

Thanks, guys.

I had a request: If KarlMarx posts comments on your blogs, please delete them immediately.

He seems to think that he doesn't have to listen to anyone else's opinions, but that we are entitled to HIS opinion. What a typical liberal hypocrite.

I'm a Dad, a construction contractor, a foodie, an artist, and a patriot. I'm also very afraid. I used to live in the United States, but I now reside in latin America (and I never even had to move!). I like to argue current events with facts (along with simple, reasonable human logic). I don't suffer fools gladly, so liberals, please bring your facts (if you have any). I'm a huge Denver sports fan (30 years on the bandwagon), but my favorite teams are, by far, the ones my kids play on.
