Beating Up On Women

Charles Gibson's attack on Sarah Palin

Back in the good old days, when the Democrats were adversaries worthy of respect, they claimed to represent the interests of women and minorities.  After the shameful way they turned on one of their own (Hillary), it didn't seem possible that they could sink much lower.

Then came Sarah Palin.

Like mindless attack dogs, the liberals and their pet media attacked Governor Palin's children with a ferocity that left many, many voters in America disgusted.

While the Obama campaign (and their pet media) has toned down their attacks on children, pregnant teens, working mothers, and children with special needs, that has not stopped them from attacking Governor Palin with one-sided interviews filled with loaded questions.  If you saw Charles "Don't call me Chuckles" Gibson's interview with Governor Palin, you know exactly what I'm talking about.

I had planned on writing a thorough, fact-filled dissertation of Gibson's attack, but a much smarter person than myself beat me to it.  It's filled with actual facts for those of you who like to get the facts for yourself...as opposed to having them spoon-fed to you by some network hairdo.

Fact check on Sarah vs. Charlie

By: John Andrews — 9/13/2008

Charlie Gibson's dishonest effort to trap, embarrass, and belittle Gov. Sarah Palin in his lengthy ABC interview with the Republican VP nominee is unmasked by the network's own transcripts and, in one case, by actual video of Palin addressing her church.

If you like your news unfiltered, a few clicks will illustrate what I mean.

On Sarah's allegedly clueless answer to the Bush Doctrine question, here's Charles Krauthammer in National Review.

On the caricature of her as a scary theocrat and holy warrior against Iraq, here's James Taranto in the Wall Street Journal.

Finally, with a reprise of these topics plus the canard of Palin the warmonger spoiling for a fight with Russia, here's PJ Gladnick on Newsbusters.

Once again, we Republicans owe a vote of thanks to the ham-handed Obama partisans in the MSM for elevating and martyring McCain's everywoman running mate while eroding -- still further -- their own credibility. Keep it up guys, there are barely 50 days until this thing wraps up.

-John Andrews, Former Colorado State Senate President

Get the facts for yourself.  Even an interview with an actual candidate can be very biased, depending on the questions you ask and how you frame them (e.g.- "do you still beat your wife?").

Think for yourself, folks.  Don't let idiots like Gibson do your thinking for you, when it is obvious that he can barely think for himself.

The media is trying very, very hard to decide this election for us.

We can't, we musn't, WE WON'T let them.

Charles Gibson, Is a very accomplished and straight foward, Execellent Interviewer. And your just upset because he put your little Candidate on the spot and she couldn't handle it. Get over it and don't blame the Intervierer for a poor performance on the behalf of the Poor litle Palin. If you can't take the Heat get out of the kitchen!

Ya know spew....Palin has more nards than you and Gibson put together. (which I assume turn to "innies" when Palin scrunches her nose, leans foreward and sticks her finger in the liberal media's eyeball) I love it! Charlie didn't even answer his OWN question correctly, and you guys are doing the "Wave" anyways? HAHAHA! Lame....

(That reminds me...GO BRONCOS!)

Karl, did you read the post? Did you follow the links? Here's a quote from Charles Krauthammer, who actually coined the phrase "Bush Doctrine":

"There is no single meaning of the Bush doctrine. In fact, there have been four distinct meanings, each one succeeding another over the eight years of this administration — and the one Charlie Gibson cited is not the one in common usage today."

Gibson is just another leftist smear merchant, read the facts and see for yourself. I helpfully posted some links for you above, please read them before first attempting debate.

"Is not" is a pretty lame retort, don't you think? I'll give you an equally educated response:

Is SO!

Hey, diz! "Palin has more nards than you and Gibson put together". Bwahahahahahah!
GO BRONCOS! Could be a good game today, although on a day like today I'd rather be under the down comforter spooning and snuggling.

Flash, give me a break. Who are you kidding with this drivvle? The media is beating up on poor Palin?

Rather than waste time crying foul, I suggest people look at the interview.

EVEN AFTER Charlie explained his question, she still couldn't answer.

The media is doing their job. VETTING HER.

Please make us a list of appropriate questions for him to ask.

Would you rather just accept her because she is a republican?

Charlie for doing his job. He didn't misreport. He didn't lie. He asked questions. He put pressure on her. What are you afraid of?

She will be one heart beat away from the presidency of the most powerful country on earth. You think she shouldn't have to handle an INTERVIEW?

Republicans said the SAME THING when Hillary was being vetted. Now all of a sudden, shame on the media for hurting poor Palin???

By all means, subject her to more. By all means subject McCain to more. By all means subject Obama to more and by all means subject Biden to more.

WELL DONE CHARLIE!

Yes, well done, Charlie. You have exposed yourself and your masters for what you are: Beeyatches of the Democratic Party. America needs to see more of your one-sided attacks.

I hope Charlie goes ahead and does his job by vetting B. Hussein next, there is A LOT the American people need to know about his background. BY ALL MEANS, Charlie, get right on that, wouldja?

Tell us why a political career conceived in the living room of a TERRORIST shouldn't be aborted.

(diz-I'll be right over ;-)

I did Read the post, and visited the Links! and stand firmly behind what to anyone who isn't apparently Repub. biased would see. The interview was fair and she couldn't answer the question.

Apparently you refuse to open your narrow mind and look for some real truth! you look for nothing but Republican propaganda.

Any news post that in any way is not in the Republican favor you can't handle it. And resort to Calling Obama by names that I guess you and your Republican coherts think are funny!

But in November what will you do when the Democrats take The White house and clean up the miserably Republican Failure!

Speaking of narrow minds...

Which name is inaccurate, Karl: Barry or Hussein? I don't think either name is funny, btw. Feel free to refer to Senator McCain as John Sidney. The McCain name has a long and distinguished history in American service. Hussein? Not so much.

The interview WASN'T fair.

I can handle facts AND truth, Karl. Got any?

I tried posting a little vid here for you guys, but it didn't work. So you'll have to go to my blog to see it. I think you'll really enjoy it gj. The rest of ya'll (as my spoon-man here would say), NOT SO MUCH! hehe

Yes Flash, we can all agree his middle name is Hussein.

Hussein, Hussein, Hussein, Hussein - Hussein.
Hussein, Hussein, Hussein, Hussein - Hussein.
Hussein, Hussein, Hussein, Hussein - Hussein.

YES the father that abandoned him and didn't raise him was a MUSLIM!!!! OH MY GOD!

His mother, whom he apparently loved dearly was white and christian - as was his grandmother. Does this count for nothing?

Or does it just run in genes? He is bad to the core... Down to his genetic makeup?

So give us a break, the only reason you brandish it about is to scare everyone. By doing this you hope to play on fear and prejudice of those who haven't taken the time to get to learn about the man.

This man is accomplished, intelligent, articulate, has world standing and the respect of many nations abroad and is well aware of the Bush doctrine. You can't argue facts so you push fear and ignorance.

Flash, he was editor of the Harvard Law Review. Dershowitz called him the most intelligent student he ever met.

What is wrong with excellence? American benefits from bright people.

Stick to the facts FLash. These Muslim scare tactics are beneath you.

Fair enough, but she didn't know any of them. Ignoring this, when he told her exactly what he wanted her to answer, she still couldn't.

To me, she appeared to be out of her league. Maybe she is a fast study and will do better the next time.

In any case, if she can't handle a reporter with more poise, how do you expect her to handle Putin?

Here is a snippit from the interview on foriegn policy:

Palin answered in the affirmative saying both deserved to be included in Nato and then Gibson asked "And under the NATO treaty, wouldn't we then have to go to war if Russia went into Georgia?

PALIN: Perhaps so. I mean, that is the agreement when you are a NATO ally, is if another country is attacked, you're going to be expected to be called upon and help.

But NATO, I think, should include Ukraine, definitely, at this point and I think that we need to -- especially with new leadership coming in on January 20, being sworn on, on either ticket, we have got to make sure that we strengthen our allies, our ties with each one of those NATO members.

We have got to make sure that that is the group that can be counted upon to defend one another in a very dangerous world today.

--------

Does this sound competent to you? Be honest. How is this unfair?

These liberal kooks only see what they want and it is usually threw rose colored glasses, Palin could have parted the red sea and these defeatist would have bitched that she got her feet wet. Of course Obama can get off telepromter and start studdering like porky pig and leaving us askng ourselves (what the frig did he just say) and these weak minded socialist are pissing themselves. Thank God these nut jobs are being driven out into the public eye and America is sick of them and we are finally seeing the death of liberalism.

LIBERALS WILL DIE OFF DUE TO THE FACT THEY ARE ABORTING THEMSELVES.

"So give us a break, the only reason you brandish it about is to scare everyone. By doing this you hope to play on fear and prejudice of those who haven't taken the time to get to learn about the man."

What????

William Ayers - Weatherman Underground bomber, unrepentant domestic terrorist.

Frank Davis - Member Communist Party USA, Eealy mentor to Obama.

Jeremaih Wright - Black Liberation militant, racist, and Pastor.

Tony Rezko - Corrupt Financier, ties to Terror Financing.

Louis Farrakhan - Nation of Islam Leader, racist, anti-American.

Raila Ordinga - Fundamental Islamic Candidate, Kenya, Obama's Cousin.

Daniel Ortega - Marxist Sandinista Leader, Nicarauga.

Raul Castro - Hard-line Communist Leader, Cuba.

Communist Party Illinois - US Communist Political Party.

Socialist Party USA - Marxist Socialist Political Party.

The New Black Panther Party - Black Militant Organization, anti-American and racist.

Hamas Terrorist Organization - Islamic Terrorist Organization.

So guess what they all have in common Sam? And while you're looking that up, check out how Al Khalid Mansour and Percy Sutton helped your "excellent" puppet get into Harvard.

Thanks, dizzee. Way to pull out some facts.

"Stick to the facts Flash. These Muslim scare tactics are beneath you"

Those aren't scare tactics, Sam. Those are facts. If they don't concern you, you should probably do a little more research.

Where did I stray from the facts? You went off on some weird rant about being able to read minds or something, kind of lost me there.

Where did I stray from the facts?

So what do you need to hear, Sam, in order for you to be able to sleep tonight?

Do you need to hear that McCain could have picked a more qualified person as his running mate?

Just wondering, because Biden said the EXACT SAME THING about Barry Hussein:

“Quite frankly, it (Hillary) might have been a better pick than me,” Biden said with a grin. “I mean that sincerely. She is first rate. So lets get that straight.”

Barack Obama’s most important decision of this election, and Biden - the candidate he selects - suggests HIMSELF that he wasn’t the right man for the job, and that Hillary Clinton would have been a better choice. Biden certainly has a credible viewpoint on this, wouldn't you say? I mean, this isn't GJFlash saying that Biden wasn't the right person for the job, this is BIDEN saying that Biden wasn't the right person for the job.

---

Do you feel like you're losing, Sam? Not just this argument, but the election in general? I'm only asking because the first sign of a liberal in defeat is the "playing of the race card". I'm not a racist, and I won't tolerate being called one. Lose with dignity, or don't play at all.
