A Sinking Ship?

If I had said "rats deserting a sinking ship", rats may have found it offensive.

Let the defections (the public ones, anyway) begin.

Prominent Democrat Fundraiser to Support McCain

WASHINGTON (CNN) — Lynn Forester de Rothschild, a prominent Hillary Clinton supporter and member of the Democratic National Committee’s Platform Committee, will endorse John McCain for president on Wednesday, her spokesman tells CNN.

The announcement will take place at a news conference on Capitol Hill, just blocks away from the DNC headquarters. Forester will “campaign and help him through the election,” the spokesman said of her plans to help the Republican presidential nominee.

Forester was a major donor for Clinton earning her the title as a Hillraiser for helping to raise at least $100,000 for the New York Democratic senator’s failed presidential bid.

In an interview with CNN this summer, Forester did not hide her distaste for eventual Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.

“This is a hard decision for me personally because frankly I don't like him,” she said of Obama in an interview with CNN’s Joe Johns. “I feel like he is an elitist. I feel like he has not given me reason to trust him.”

Forester is the CEO of EL Rothschild, a holding company with businesses around the world. She is married to international banker Sir Evelyn de Rothschild. Forester is a member of the DNC’s Democrats Abroad chapter and splits her time living in London and New York.

The part that had me laughing at loud was this:

Lynn Forester de Rothschild, wife of international banker Sir Evelyn de Rothschild, found Barack Obama to be an elitist

Lady Lynn was introduced to her husband by Henry Kissinger at a Bilderberg conference, an elite invite-only event held at luxury resorts around the world.

Henry Kissinger? The Bilderbergs?

This Lady lives in a frickin' CASTLE, and she found OBAMA to be an elitist.  WOW.

Way to come over to the good side, Lady Lynn.  Now, if you could ask your rich banker husband to bail out our banks, that would be very cool.

It says a lot when so many in his own party are coming over to this side.

LOVE the picture, BTW. I may have to post it all over town.

Hi DiMur! Isn't that picture a riot? I wish I had put up about a million posters of it during the DNC.

OMG- I want one of those! People who really understand how clueless Obama is are making noise- and these are people who KNOW how things work. Hillary proved during the debates that O doesn't even understand payroll taxes- and now he's using the financial crisis for his own gain by raising the panic alarm instead of easing fears- shame on him, really.

Hurrah, hurrah. I am so glad I have found believer's. I got a call the other day (Democrate), he wanted to talk with my husband (registered Dem, but hasn't voted that way since before Carter), he wound up talking to me and within 3 minutes he hungup on me. I called back and said if that is really how Dems are then you all deserve to lose.

Most (actually all) Dems when they open there mouth, nothing comes out except they can only blame everything on everybody else. They need to learn how to fess up and be responible for their own actions. As much as I love her, they sound just like my daughter when backed into a corner when she is wrong.

gj - Hey, it's not too late to plaster that picture all over the place. I'm gonna! That's the best one I've seen since the one of him in a turban with the slogan "CHANGE you will submit to".

cdm - If the Dems learned to take responsibility for their own actions, they might have to turn into Republicans! LOL

I know, go figure. They don't call us the Grand Old Party for nothing.

I heard this saying once: "If you're not a Democrat at 20, you have no heart. If you're not a Republican at 40, you have no brain."

I think there's a lot of truth to that. There's nothing wrong with being young and idealistic, but hopefully as we mature, we realize that a country can't be run on ideals.

That is somewhat true, but I don't think that being idealistic ends totally, at least I hope not.

Funny thing is that I was one of those young dems. I did see the error of my ways. There are a lot of brainless folk around. Some are my friends (no, I do not mix politics with friends).

Isn't that hilarious, RaysMom? There's a full-size copy on my pictures, feel free to copy it and send it around the world.

Hear hear, DiMur. There is nothing wrong with being idealistic, but we have to have a healthy dose of reality in our politics if we are to thrive as a Nation.

Hey, CDM! Welcome to MyFox! Glad to have another "rightie" on the pages. I hope you can find the time to stick around and add your voice to the chorus, the more sensible bloggers we can get, the better.

Yeah, I used to be a young lefty too. And I do still have ideals. I absolutely agree about that. They just need to be tempered with a little wisdom. In some cases that comes with experience...then there are Democrats.

I have lefty friends too, BTW. We just don't discuss politics, because we want to remain friends.

Welcome to Colorado, Mr. Assfault! Let us take a look at you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the voice of the modern Democratic Party, Mister Assfault.

Feel free to donate.

I have always been a vociferous opponent of the "better life through modern pharmaceuticals" movement, I have been of the opinion that mental patients should be locked up.

Perhaps there IS something to be said for modern pharmaceuticals, after all.

Have a nice, happy, medicated day, Mister AssFault!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm a Dad, a construction contractor, a foodie, an artist, and a patriot. I'm also very afraid. I used to live in the United States, but I now reside in latin America (and I never even had to move!). I like to argue current events with facts (along with simple, reasonable human logic). I don't suffer fools gladly, so liberals, please bring your facts (if you have any). I'm a huge Denver sports fan (30 years on the bandwagon), but my favorite teams are, by far, the ones my kids play on.
