For the first time in a while I decided to watch the 10pm news.  I am able to get up a little later on Friday, so it isn't quite so "past my bedtime".  It has come to my attention that one of the news anchors is inexplicably unable to call President Bush, "President" Bush.  She called him Mr. Bush.  He is the sitting president and therefore should be called President.  Although she was able to call the communist donkey "President Elect".  What is going on here?  Fox is supposed to be the more balanced of the drive by media.

O great NOW you notice the subtle nuances that have been a part of ALL TV media for the past 8 years...BTW do not confuse Fox News with Fox 35 news , they have nothing to do with each other. Your local station is under local control and answers to one person (I would say it reflects the owners views but that would be unfair and untrue) . In most “news rooms” you will find a news director and this person has absolute authority over every word that goes out ...the “slip” you saw is something that would never have happened 30 years ago but now is an actual part of media tactics...

I wonder if it's just a case of they weren't really sure what to call him rather than a lack of respect. Although I don't think it's the first time Ive heard him called Mr Bush over President Bush.

Sorry RNC, I haven't watched evening "news" in quite some time. Is it still called news or do they call it spin now?

The truth is I have no problem calling President Bush... President Bush. It was written Mister Bush in the script... I read it... and moved on... wishing I could push rewind and correct it but it was too late. It's LIVE television. My sincere apologies. Typically, while reading over scripts in advance I catch such mistakes... but last night was the exception. Please don't pass judgment on our station. We strive to be fair and balanced every day. I can assure you we are not pushing an agenda.

rexsmom,

I watch the 10pm news quite a bit and have never gotten that impression. If anything they are very conservative and respectful. I don't believe Corrina would do something like that on purpose.

I have heard him called Mr Bush in the same broadcast as they talk about former President Clinton. When Bush was the sitting president and Billy just a washed up liar. Bizarre not so subtle media garbage - If we don't complain with our viewing habits it will never change. All this Palin bashing even after the election is going to go on for 4 years - they want to completely bury her because they see her as a threat in 2012 because of her popularity. "Mark my words" If she even picks her nose over the next four we will hear about it.

Look if the Republicans had not done such a terrible job over the last 8 years, Obama would not be president elect, McCain would.

Race got O'bama in American_man. Over 90% blacks voted black, most not knowing what O'Bama stands for.

That's a good point though. I've noticed a lot of the Media disrespecting President Bush this way. It has been more than noticeable over the years. They're supposed to report news, not their attitudes or Political bias when on the air/job. He's our President and should be addressed accordingly. If I was a Member of the Media, I would say it no matter what the script says. Would they fire you for calling the President the President? (in general . . . I'll take Corina's word that she was speaking not thinking - others I'm not so sure . . . However, even Stephanopolis hasn't dropped "President" that I've ever heard and I watch that Chump every Sunday for the Blind Liberal view).

I will grant that you did not write the copy dear , but someone did and it has been a very very common so called mistake for the past 6 years...I willing to bed cold hard cash that 1 you (and all other TV people) will never ever make this very same “mistake” with President Elect Obama and 2 that IF any one ever makes this very same “mistake” it will in fact be a very very big deal...its called “respect” and how do YOUR expect to receive it when you do not give it....already the Democrats have left a black smear on the Oval office do you wish to further down grade it and in the end degrade what you think you have accomplished this year ???
