I'm really excited about Wath of the Litchking coming out on Thursday. I don't know if I will make a special trip to the store to buy it, but I sure can't wait to see the new changes it brings. I know it will let us attain level 80. I've heard about a new bard charector. That should be interesting to play. Anyone else?
Shade Cloth Garden

I had mentioned earlier that we were trying to grow our tomatoes this summer under some shade cloth. So far, it is working wonderfully. I had to transplant the peppers to a shadier spot. Most of them seem to be making it and now doing better due to the reduced scorching. The green beans are doing great. I've already gotten so many I had to freeze some. I bought two bulbs of organic garlic from Wal-mart (which has since taken down it's Spanish signage in the Customer Service department) and have started it in the garden. It seems to have taken well.
Anyone know anything about how to grow onions from seed?

Garfield on the oil crisis

A lot of folks can't
understand how we came
To have an oil shortage
here in our country.
~~~
Well, there's a very simple answer.
~~~
Nobody bothered to check the oil.
~~~
We just didn't know we were
getting low.
~~~
The reason for that is purely geographical.
~~~
Our OIL is located in
~~~
ALASKA
~~~
California
~~~
Florida
~~~
Louisiana
~~~
Kansas
~~~
Oklahoma
~~~
Pennsylvania
And
Texas
~~~
Our
DIPSTICKS
Are located in
Washington,
DC!
Any Questions?
NO? Didn't think so.
A Gun in the House
The purpose of fighting is to win. There is no possible victory in defense. The sword is more important than the shield, and skill is more important than either. The final weapon is the brain. All else is supplemental.
As John Steinbeck once said:
1. Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you.
2. If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck.
3. I carry a gun cause a cop is too heavy.
4. When seconds count, the cops are just minutes away.
5. A reporter did a human-interest piece on the Texas Rangers. The reporter recognized the Colt Model 1911 the Ranger was carrying and asked him 'Why do you carry a 45?' The Ranger responded, 'Because they don't make a 46.'
6. An armed man will kill an unarmed man with monotonous regularity.
7. The old sheriff was attending an awards dinner when a lady commented on his wearing his sidearm. 'Sheriff, I see you have your pistol. Are you expecting trouble?' 'No Ma'am. If I were expecting trouble, I would have brought my rifle.'
8. Beware the ma n who only has one gun. HE PROBABLY KNOWS HOW TO USE IT!!!
But wait, there's more!
I was once asked by a lady visiting if I had a gun in the house. I said I did. She said 'Well I certainly hope it isn't loaded!' To which I said, of course it is loaded, can't work without bullets!' She then asked, 'Are you that afraid of some one evil coming into your house?' My reply was, 'No not at all. I am not afraid of the house catching fire either, but I have fire extinguishers around, and they are all loaded too.' To which I'll add, having a gun in the house that isn't loaded is like having a car in the garage without gas in the tank.
I'm a firm believer of the 2nd Amendment! If you are too, please forward.
Dr. House
The other night I was watching the end of House on FOX. It was the part where they were watching the documentary video that had been made of House treating a patient and everyone on the video was saying what a kind and caring person he was. It was humorous, then it got really funny when Dr. House says something to the effect of wow now I don't know if I believe films by Michael Moore or not anymore. I just loved hearing that quip. I was laughing for the rest of the night. Thanks for airing that FOX, you made my night.
Dear Fox Webmaster,
When I try to look back though the blogs it won't go more than two pages back before the blog just keeps repeating the same page. It's acting really flaky. Just wanted to bring it to your attention.
Bunnies
Hello, we are having a problem with "Boots the broken leg Bunny". This is the rabbit that we spent over $300 on when he broke his leg. He has since moved into my daughters room and is making a menace of himself. I think he's bored. What do bunnies like to play with? He has learned to jump on top of the cat carrier and get to the window seal, then over the pen. He has now taken to eating my baseboards. Any suggestions?
Doggies at Dinner
Someone posted about restaurants that allow dogs to accompany their human to dinner in the outdoor portion of the restaurant. Where is this? I would love to do something like this. It would be nice to be able to take all of us out for a meal (including the fur children). Sorry, I couldn't post on your blog, you didn't turn on the "allow comments" thing.
This is to all of the young (and young at heart) bloggers out there.
Have you ever been to summer camp? What did you like? What did you dislike? What did you feel you should've packed, but, didn't?
Just needing some information to help with my kids.
Hello, I need a recipe for pickled japaleno peppers, like the ones you buy in the can. I grew my own and I let them turn red on the bush instead of picking them green. Any suggestions?
Why are people spamming nonsense on the blogs? What is the point? What are they trying to accomplish? I'm specifically talking about "Freedomfree" not people disagreeing with me on a topic.
