McCain has one shot left. And I think the only way he has any chance is to put distance between himself and Obama and the Republican Party.
Tomorrow night he needs to make huge news. He needs to state that a President Barack Obama will have a filibuster proof majority in the Senate and a possible Super Majority in the House. Now the odds are they are not going to accomplish anything they claim they will. They will be on the take from special interests left and right. Listening to lobbyists tell them what they will do and not do. Then in 4 years they are going to come back to you, the American People, and ask for another 4 years to do nothing. Speaker Pelosi and Leader Reid will ask you this every two years. They will produce nothing and ask for more time. Despite their claims of being able to fix everything from day 1.
Tonight, my friends, I am going to make you a pledge. I have heard the fear of my age and the supposed inexperience of Governor Palin. Tonight, Governor Palin and I ask you for 4 years and 4 years only. I will not seek a second term and Governor Palin will not seek the nomination for President or Vice-President after 2012. Give us 4 unfettered years to do the work of the American people. We will not be hamstrung by special interest and lobbyist padding our re-election coffers. We will owe them nothing and they will owe us nothing. We will work for the American people and only the American people. I can safely go through veto pens like kleenex because I will be at the beck and call of lobbyists like senator Obama and Speaker Pelosi and Leader Reid will be and like President Bush and the congressional republicans have been
Tonight, I tell you I will only seek 1 term and only 1 term. In that time frame I will work for you and do what I have set out to do. If at the end of my term you like what I have done then maybe you will elect someone in my mold after me. If you don't like what I have done, no worries I will walk off into the sunset anyway.
A pledge to 1 term and a total and complete retribution of his own party and the failures of the last 8 years is his only chance to even make this a close race.
The alternative is to hand Obama, Pelsoi and Reid the keys the treasury and the wallets of all Americans.

I have decided after listening to Michelle and Barack talk about what a wonderful, intelligent man he is. How he is the only person who gets it. That we would be crazy not to elect him and that he is the only person of his caliber who would deign enter politics. And that he is the ONLY person that can change the world and make thing better.
With all of that understood. I think it would be best that we just go ahead and cancel the election for the Presidency. Barack is not the second coming of Christ, he is bigger. Even Jesus cannot hold a candle to what Barack can do. So it is pointless for us to ask him questions or wonder about how he is to change the world or why he hasn't thus far. It is pointless for us to wait another 6 months before he can enter the White House and begin to make the world better.
So let's go ahead and cancel the election and ask President Bush to go ahead and step aside. We won't need the VP's house or office anymore because Barack can do it all and would not need a VP. It may be best to go ahead and cancel all the federal elections. Barack has proven in his time in the Senate that he does not need the other 534 to change the world and make it a hopeful and better place.
We will have no need of a Supreme Court either as any law or policy that Barack will hand down will undoubtedly be perfect law and thus no need for interpretation.
So please join with me in calling for the end to this charade. The charade of making not just the USA also the planet Earth wait any longer for the oceans to recede, the environment to fix, the violence to end, the hunger to cease and the disease to wane.
Anoint Barack TODAY!!!!!!

Wow I have never heard and seen so many "adults"whine and stomp their feet and throw tantrums as much as I have seen since Hannah Montana sold out so quickly. You would think these people have never heard of a show selling out before or that their child was the only one on Earth or that the internet was only connected to Kansas City.
Face some facts folks, shows are popular and with the internet the buzz for certain entertainment is amazing. So when those shows come to town, especially a town with a brand new arena, people go crazy and buy tickets. Then the show sells out fast. In the old days, prior to the old net, a show would sell out in a matter of hours because tickets sold only via phone or in person and it took time to enter in all that info and get tickets printed, etc.
I remember when Garth Brooks came to KC the first time. His show sold out in under 45 minutes. People went crazy saying that there was cheating or something. The bottom line is people bought tons of tickets. I was in junior high and I remember being in a line at the St. Joe Civic Arena to buy tickets. The first ever lottery draw as well. There was a guy paying people to either 1) sell their tickets or 2) he'd give you $40 bucks to stand in line for $20 tickets. In the end the show sold out fast.
Now with the internet you theoretically could have millions of people trying to buy tickets all at the same time and thus 10,000 seats have no chance. Brokers buy tons of tickets. But they do not have siniser plots and spy and sources who steal tickets for them. A huge way they get their tickets is the same way they always have. 1) they pay people for their already purchased tickets or 2) they hire people all over the country to get online and buy the limit of tickets and then send them to the broker. It's just capitalism and the way to do it.
Does it s u c k little annie and johnnie may not get to see Hannah Montana. Yeah of course it does. Poor kids learn a valuable lesson for life, you don't always get what you want. I also personally think it s u c k s that the Chiefs charge what they do for their seats when they s u c k. But if I want to see a game I pay the price.
And the other little secret is from a PR standpoint. WWE routinely tauts their under 5 minute sell outs and claimed their Wrestlemania 20 tickets sold out in under 1 minute. It makes their product seem uber sought after. But what they do not count ot tell you in the pre-sale they put on a few days before where about 90% of the tickets are already sold. That way when the "public sale" happens it sells out in seconds, makes them look good. I can bet the same sort of tactics go on in music as well. They hold pre-sales, fan clubs buys, etc. So that, say Hannah's, handlers can say she is selling out in minutes across the country. So record sales go up, viewships go up and most importantly her fee per show goes up when arenas know they will have a lightning fast sellout.
Bottom line....quit whinning. You as a KC resident have no right to demand a KC only sale time or window. Taxpayers aren't paying for this arena as much as tourists and business travelers are with the hotel and car tax. The arena is bringing money into KC, increasing city revenues which in the long run will save us all money. In the meantime, s u c k it. up and quit whining because kids don't always get what they want. I WILL see GARTH in concert in November. If I get tickets off ticketmaster...yeah for me. Otherwise I wil turn to Ebay and try my luck there or go to a broker.
