Matt 6:24 (NIV) "No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. 25 "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life{[27] Or single cubit to his height}? 28 "And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, `What shall we eat?' or `What shall we drink?' or `What shall we wear?' 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Matt 7:7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. 9 "Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

2Tim 4:2 (NIV) Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage--with great patience and careful instruction. 3 For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 5 But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.

Isai 5:20 (NIV) Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. 21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight.

Rom 1:32 (NIV) Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

Levi 20:2 (NIV) "Say to the Israelites: `Any Israelite or any alien living in Israel who sacrifices; any of his children to Molech must be put to death. The people of the community are to stone him. 3 I will set my face against that man and I will cut him off from his people; for by giving his children to Molech, he has defiled my sanctuary and profaned my holy name. 4 If the people of the community close their eyes when that man sacrifices one of his children to Molech and they fail to put him to death, 5 I will set my face against that man and his family and will cut off from their people both him and all who follow him in prostituting themselves to Molech.

Killing babies in the womb for the sake of the convenience of the mother is the same as sacrificing your children to the pagan god Molech in spiritual terms. Obama and most of the Democrat party advocate this adhorent practice. When we vote for these people that agree with these practices, then we become guilty of approving of those who do evil, and even giving them power and authority to act and enforce more ungodly, immoral laws over us. Why would a "true" Christian want to do that?

If I remember my bible teachin...we are not responsible for choices other people are a makin. Im on the fence with this one cuz I cant understand what would go thru a females mind who is a wantin any type of abortion. Ive known some young girls who got pregnant from being raped an only they can decide what they can do. My opinion may wrong but I believe that we as Christians will have to answer to God for what we do each ourselves an not for those of what other people do. You can lead a person to the well of water...the truth.. but ya cant make em drink. Everyone makes mistakes an it takes God to be the forgiven one instead of our neighbors....seems to me..since we cant forgive..thats the real crime right there.

Sipedo, I don't think we've seen the worst of it yet. In fact, I'd go so far as to say Jan 20 will only be the begining. I truly believe greed and pure hatred has replaced common sense. Of course, there are circumstances where abortion should be considered, but should be an absolute last resort and not for the convience of the mother (or father).

The abortion issue is a religous belief and therefore not the governments responcability, hence the seperation of church and state.

My PERSONAL beliefs and religious beliefs are anti abortion, but my public choice is pro choice since the woman having the abortion DOESNT anwer to me. She will have to answer to God and what someone that I dont know does is none of my business especially if it a legal medical procedure.

understood exactly what you wrote...but its a lookin like whoever has a different thought to share...ya don't like it. Isn't that the idea of a blog...sharin what one thinks..not bein right or wrong just cuz ur lookin for something different? Some Christian you think you are! Judging others cuz they have something different to say...ya shouldn't assume people don't understand what ur sayin just cuz the comment may not be to ur liking. So let me guess ya think ya can control what other people are to take from ur posts.....Sorry buddy but you sure as heck aint God to tell anyone how to comprehend ur comments an control what comments are made to share what we think bout it! An you call urself a Christian.....reassess urself afore ya start throwin stones at other people!

You need to reread my comment cuz you....

Just cuz someone votes for Obama dont mean they condone acts of abortion. We aint responsible for what our fellow neighbors do or act. It states it so in the Bible...maybe when ur done bein so angry you can pick it up and read it. Now reread my comment an maybe now youll understand where Im commin from!

Hey Sipedo..with all due respect and I get what you are saying, but unless you are a FEMALE and have encountered the PAIN of one making this decision......you WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND...........I myself when I was young and unbeknown to my parents had 3........I AM NOT PROUD...AND THOUGH I SPENT MANY YEARS CRYING AND PRAYING FOR FORGIVENESS.........NOW SOME 20 SOMETHING YEARS LATER.......I DO THINK ABOUT WHAT MY LIFE WOULD HAVE BEEN LIKE AND THOSE CHILDREN...........BUT i don't regret the decision.......THOUGH PROBABLY HAD I TOLD MY MOTHER.........I WOULD HAVE ENDED UP w/ a football team of my own..........IT IS A VERY TRAUMATIC AND DETRIMENTAL MOMENT FOR MANY WOMEN TO TAKE AND MAKE THAT DECISION......that's all I have to say

Erichjhach said it very well. Abortion is an individual choice. Before it became legal women were subjected to back alley quacks to perform the procedure.

Now that it has been legalized it is a safer medical procedure. Legalization of the procedure DOES NOT REQUIRE OR MANDATE that it be performed.

Aren't there Biblical references to humans being given "free will" or free choice regarding their own personal beliefs and actions?

SquashedVoice has a good point about Christian beliefs, however, in this country we have freedom of religion and not everyone is a Christian or even believes in God. Trying to FORCE PEOPLE INTO THE HEAVEN that Christians believe in is contrary to the Christian concept of free will and the secular concept of freedom of religion.

There are so many variances in what people believe in terms of restricting and allowing abortion that it would be impossible to please everyone. Leaving it to an individual to make the choice is the only solution that makes sense.

THANK YOU SHADOWS........that about sums it up. It should be AN INDIVIDUAL'S CHOICE and not condemed the person for doing so.......I have lived with my decisions however hard I don't regret it...WE OFTEN BEECHE AND ARGUE ABOUT PEOPLE ON WELFARE AND GETTING FOOD STAMPS TO FEED THESE LITTLE ONES THEY CAN'T AFFORD.........well I guess for me NOT ONLY WAS I PETREFIED to even let my parents know....I was still in High School and new that I wasn't ready to be a parent LET ALONE afford it.......AND I WILL NOT SECOND GUESS MY CHOICE......perhaps it wasn't the brightest or the safest to fool around with BUT ONE THING IT DID TEACH ME WAS LIFE VALUES AND THAT I PASSED ONTO MY DAUGHTERS.......Amen

Eric: "My PERSONAL beliefs and religious beliefs are anti abortion, but my public choice is pro choice"

Don't you think that is hypocritical?

Squashed, I left your post up because it is all over the place. If you feel like I am judging you, it's because you have guilt about something. Now, please use complete sentences and real words from now on.

Candy, you know all to well the pain and guilt associated with abortion. No one needs to tell you. Even if we did not have God or The Bible as a benchmark, I am positive those emotions would still be there.

Here's the real deal. Therapeutic Abortion: For those who are pregnant because of incest or rape, or where the mother's life is in danger is LESS THAN 2% of ALL ABORTIONS.

98% of Abortions are for convenience only.

But did you know that there is EVIDENCE between abortion and BREAST CANCER?? Did you know that there is EVIDENCE that every abortion after the the first 12 weeks can cause irreversible damage? Not to mention the emotional toll that it takes.

Should abortions be illegal? Absolutely not! Should the be harder to get? There is no doubt.

For 98% of those having abortions, it is abundantly clear that they made the choice when they CHOSE to have sex. Abortion for the purpose of birth control is absolutely MURDER.

I know one thing for sure, it's wrong. You can dress it up all you want, but it's still MURDER.

All I have to say is this:
You cant disagree with one part of the Bible and agree with the part that suits your needs. Separation of church and state is no good nowadays. This day in age we DO need some sort of faith/church. The founding fathers believed in faith. Why is it that we as a country can unite and go to church and pray after a tragedy happens and then forget about GOD all the other days? The same God that says do not sacrifice your children is the same God that says that marriage should be between a man and a woman and also said that sex should wait until you are married.( and we are ALL guilty of that) BUT IF these rules were followed then the problems with abortion wouldnt be so prevalent!
