According to this airing, the 'insurgents' have moved further North to Mosul.

In an attempt to disrupt the  large number of sheepherders who are suspected of bringing in contraband...to make this a short word...or insurgents bringin in 'stuff' from S W Syria..

The lead tank gets hit ...a scramble over a brick wall breaks the axle of a tank...which has bulleted thru a  metal   fence  while chasing two running men fleeing from the incident.  Roadside bombs continue to plague our troops...kinda like the Hatfields and the McCoys..

I tell you what I heard that our troops are trying to accomodate every ethnic group..The Kurds  are dominant in this area. Annihilation of one ethnic group is the cause of the uprisings...  When will we have peace and let each group take care of themselves..

Further $$$ disclosures of the billions goin to Iraq with the contingency of  a DEADline for removal of our troops.   Possible cutbacks of  American Bases???  WHAT craziness.....cannot you just believe it....send billions to overseas and take down our bases.

......Protect the homeland. This juggling of finances must STOP.  An the worst thing of all is this is aired on public airwaves...so guess who is sitting back   w a i t i n g for us to stop and withdraw...Kinda like teenagers...At some point you must draw the lin. We have  given them the power/ability to stand up for themselves... and quit blowing other people to Hell.  All teens go outta the house and learn to make their way..We need to BOW  OUT  and quit advertising how broke we are with the WAR..and take care of our OWN  HOMELAND...

Bush has entered more executive orders than any other President..This is not a win-win situation, but time to BOW OUT gracefully  for the holidays and PROTECT our homeland, not close down OUR  bases at the x pense of   sending  efforts overseas..It makes me furious...to think of the homeless and poor here with the rising cost of groceries   o i l     -indirectly a result of the war. Yes it is.

Volunteers went to Baghdad  so the military didn't have to issue MaNdAtOrY orders...the news broadcast  stated:    Praise to those guys..

Now that the world knows Congress really is asking for a withdrawal   DATE   and goin on Thanksgiving Break with a lotta 'business' left on the table... my hearts go out to those who don't have a  Thanksgiving break...seems to me like we've forgotten to be looking for Saddam  Hoosain hid away in the sheeps clothing...

HOW MUCH  MONEY  is goin to be spend in repairs for our returning vets who are disabled...these are in the 10,000's....Now what President Bush?   Or will we KEEP  sending  billions  overseas???  I will not wish to read the history books ten years from now.....

You really have no understanding of the war, do you? Saddam was a huge problem in that part of the world for years before the American invasion in ’91 and then continued even after he was slapped back. The problem was the world leaders never took a true stand with him until W. Bush and Congress in 2002. In fact Bush should have moved on an invasion much sooner than we did because we gave way too much time for Saddam to remove his weapons in the hopes we would look a fool to the world. We missed the opportunity to catch him red handed and fight a more difficult war than it had to be. The fact is the world is safer and safety can be better managed with Saddam gone! I feel for you and your slighted understanding of the situation, but hope I can point you in a more realistic world view!

Wow! I know I commented on this, but looks like it was accidently deleted by some anti-war liberal filter..... I'm shocked! (not)

Remember that everything is America's fault and we are the bad guys according to libs and even the RINO Ron Paul.

So someone please explain to me how Iraq is lost again? The price of the current situation in Iraq comes from the years of inaction by previous administration. I remind everyone that Clinton signed off on the ousting of Sadaam in the late 90s but didn't have the nerve to follow-thru!! EXACTLY what OBL told the world! That America was a paper tiger!

Instead we just snatched 140 Billion a year from Defense Budgets, and ran our troops into the ground with expansionism! The military effort is not more expensive today, its just the Liberals don't like paying for it!! They hate the fact they were caught robbing the military to fund their entitlement budgets, and now that we need the money where it belongs they are upset!

If people want to read the history books later in life, I will still be here to make sure ALL the history is told!! God help the first teacher that tries to twist the truth on my kids!

Note: Please don't delete my post here on this open forum.. then I will just have to cut and paste your stuff onto my profile, and then delete everything you would like said.... I'm sure treating a liberal as they treat others here will be well received on that one...

I do have understanding in it ive been there and seen the change of it and the responsible needs of the soldiers and what we had to go through as a non commision and the fight to be proven and some people in higher rank that do make desisions for others and the seperation between them two

What? cicero.. So you think that Bush and his DefSec got good intel from previous administration? Ya think when careerist flag ranks in the Pentagon finally get caught mismanaging they just go away happy? Men like Gen Clark who ran for Pres. were nightmares! The Navy had Borda who tried re-inventing the wheel and was put in place by Clinton so they could steal away half the budget and put diversity quotas in place!

I was there too. to see an airfield filled with hundreds of aircraft that were reported mission ready yet half were stripped of parts. When you report mission ready, and then the new President and his staff make decissions on going to war or not and use those reports for that, you bet you ass there are some embarrassed flag ranked officers out there that were allowed to retire and now bad mouth! Strip the military by almost half then increase their workload and not report on the problems it caused?

It would be YOU cicero that is either not very bright, or intoxicated with the kool-aid you have been drinking! We were worked into the ground in the 90s, and Clinton forced us to be cowards before the world! Id rather you spit on me than force me to be a coward before my enemy!!

Didnt you know Abunai??? Clinton was the best president of our time!!!! by cutting back on our military resources we were able to make it even more possible for those in this country who rape our system to receive more from welfare when they have no intention of contributing to the production of our society! Cicero, Cicero, Cicero im glad that I am not pathetic and weak like you. Good thing Cicero of the Roman Empire wasn't....you wouldn't have a name.

apologies with the comment I have no understanding of the war??
I did mean to say Bin Laden, since I DO know we GOT Saddam after all the internet publicity, which I followed in my e-mail...yes, that soldier who found him in the hole needs a medal...
as far as politics, sometimes, I am trying to pass along corect information on the news I hear on BBC ...as far as the delete, our computors are 'shared' by 44 persons, it was not ME who deleted any of your comments Abunai, in fact, I look forward to the newsy/ inside info you have for input thinking also it is newsworthy, well spoken, and militarially correct..
I still don't get the nickname LIB except it has much stress with a mocking opinion! But this is the U.S. of A. thank goodness we won't be hung or shot for our opinions, or burnt at the stake for our religious beliefs...
I am also opinionated re: military, and realize not everyone gets HOME for the holidays, thinking it would be harder to return to duty. Really.
FYI I have an ex who returned to the states and never went back to Nam, of course, I didn't know that when we had our short marriage, who also spend time in the brig in Great Lake region, I understand. . .
WE KNOW you guys don't have general discharges. I was thinking of the disabilities for the returning injured vets....not the returning younger ones who opt out.
I know the 21 yr rule cause my bro. in law retired from White Sands at age 53.

Never doubt the power of prayer and thanksgiving...for The U.S. of A. ....also thankful for any time that I would be able to spend with my grandchildren who are really really scattered.. ..all busy with their own lives. Sing with a grateful heart, God Bless America. And thanks to those defending it.
