Thus far Kwame Kilpatrick has cost Detroit and Wayne County around $12,000,000.00 in lawsuits, legal expenses etc..

The Mayor earns around $200,000.00 a year. He would have to thus far work for free 60 years just to pay back the principle amount he owes The City Of Detroit and Wayne county.

The question is how much could you lose the company you work for  and still have a job?

I'm sure it's a little less than what The Mayor of Detroit has got away with so far.

Detroit will never move forward until it demands proper behavior of its leaders and starts to understand that scam behavior is not to be the norm.

It has become clear that when there are so many people backing him there must be quite a few that have not learned this behavior is wrong. I'm sure there are many honest people in Detroit, but at present they seem to be out numbered by the dishonest.

So that muthacanucka from canada who is our soo call governor will have to remove him and replace him with somebody who is substandard and will do nothing for detroit ohh wait when has anybody ever done anything for detroit other than coleman young? ok where's the heat................

You asked when has anybody done anything for Detroit? The problem is people are always looking for someone or some organization to do something for them. Detroit isnt in a mess because of poor leaders. The mess starts with Detroit having one of the worst dropout rates in the country and this stems from a breakdown in the family structure and instruction of proper behavior.

This issue has already been settled........in KK`s mind that is. He said he has already paid back the city in full with all of the "hard work" he has done. *insert twilight zone theme*

revdaalkaholik:

O-M-G! Coleman "did" for the city but was just as corrupt--he was just good at covering his EDIT. The problem isn't the do--it's the "who" in your do. Detroit needs someone of integrity to step up and represent it along with doing a good job otherwise the message that is sent is that behavior like this is ok.

you can blame the media and the suburbs for it all. the whistlebower suit was bologna. and the suburbs awarded them the money without any evidence of wrong doing they didnt even PROVE that they were even investigating the mayor. oh I forgot they didnt have no buss investigating the mayor. brown job was to investigate cops and the mayor is not a cop. its not the mayor fault that Kym Worthy is spending the most money in wayne county history on a trial period. let alone a pejury case. which in wayne county history has never been prosecuted out of a civil trial. its not the mayors fault that the city council wants to hire an attourney and go foward with bogus investigations when all they have to do is sit back and let the judicial system work or let the public decide. all they need is 60,000 signatures in a city with 900,000 people.

Det 313 according to you KK has never done anything wrong. I think you saw him walking on water. As for Coleman, that politics it didn't happen if you don't get caught. Coleman wasn't sloppy or greedy like some of these other indiviuals. KK ain't the only sloppy politician, look at the school board and the city council. They've been at it for years, too. Maybe that why our mayor thought that he could be soo outright with his deeds. See alot of you Kwamites think that it about pointing fingers at KK but its really about his arrogance and disrespect to our intelligent. But you have to be intelligent to know that you're being insulted.

gdp I didnt say he didnt do anything wrong all I'm saying is whats wrong with letting the judicial system work. whats wrong with dealing with facts and truth. because we obviously cant depend on the news to tell the truth the whole truth and nothing but the TRUTH so when the oppurtunity to hear the TRUTH is infront of us we dont want to hear it."justice", "Justice", "Justice" thats all you people are yelling but are not willing to allow the Justice process to work. yall have allready found him guilty and only know one side of the story. its two sides to every story.

the judge did what was right by the law today. not whats right by the media, not whats right by public opinion but the law. and in the city carter if you would have read it you would already know they had no grounds. but since the judge followed the law, he's in KK's pocket. why do yall want to lynch him so bad. this is not the south and this is not the 1960's anymore.

I just read this on the Freep.com page. I wonder what the new “phase” will be.. LOL

Alabama attorney Jim Parkman is no longer with Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick’s legal team, a spokesman said today.

Kilpatrick spokesman Marcus Reese issued a statement tonight, saying: “The Mayor has put together a legal team of various backgrounds and experience designed to play different roles during different stages. We are now moving into another phase, the Mayor’s legal team will reflect this transition accordingly.”

Im a Emergency Medical Technician and in the last year I worked to pass a law to make it mandatory for all ambulances in the State of Michigan to carry Heart Defibrillators!!! In 2005 only around 20% of private ambulances carried them!!! Because I passed the law several organizations have me on a job black list and will not hire me!!! It doesnt matter because I recently became an EMT to save lives and by having Defibrillators on all ambulances many lives will be saved!!! In my spare time I also collect unusual antique stuff and I have a large Faygo collection dating back to 1921!!!
