So recently I have had what I consider the worst customer service experience in my life. I made the mistake of transferring credit card debt into a Capital one card. I accidentally paid one payment 24 hours early and it was applied to the same month. Next month it showed a late fee as a result of not receiving a payment. Spoke with probably 20 people each month since May to resolve this issue. Their response is we cannot change it what we can do as a one time courtesy we can take the late fee off. My point, I didn't make a mistake I have had many credit cards and none of them ever applied it to the same month they would simply show as current. So word to the wise if you have a Capital One credit card and you have not made a mistake I hope you never do. If you have spoken to financial advisors they will forewarn you not to open up with them. Unfortunately for me it was after I already had the account I found out they are the worst. Further, if you ever call you will be transferred to India or wherever it is and then you will finally speak to someone who is fluent in English but coincidentally is in Canada.
You know what is wrong with this country? No one is controlling credit card companies b/c they pay off the big guys like Transunion and Equifax...I think there is something wrong with this country where we depend on credit cards b/c they are revolving accounts hence build our credit...but as soon as you make a tiny mistake your credit is toast. So I say screw credit, screw Capital One I will spend the rest of my life advocating credit card free financial plans and show people that in fact life does go on without them.
If even hundred thousand of Denver residents get rid off their credit cards and pay them off we may not have such a high foreclosure rate. I would not be sad to see Capital one or any other company like Discover go out of business who cares we have too much of everything and it has not moved us foreward rather step closer to financial demise.
Whew that felt good. Just for the record this is my opinion and my frustration. I do pay off my bills monthly and my goal of course with every other 30 yr someone is to pay off the debt. So I understand if commentary comes back to be negative b/c I placed myself to be in this position, hence I can deal.

Does anyone know where I can get March 2008 snowfall totals? We had a game at work that asked people to estimate snowfall and now I cannot find any info. I have gone on the boulder weather site and national weather service site and they don't have them either.

Ok so I am sure there are many people like myself who woke up to an amazing lightning show along with some serious rain fall. I don't think I have ever seen a storm like this one up by Jeffco Airport. I remember storms in Littleton but not up north. There was about 2.5 inches of water in our dogs' water bowl. The thunder was very loud and frightening. It was like a horror movie, you didn't need to turn on the lights because there was plenty and the house trembled as you walked through. Very spooky but oh we so needed that moisture...plus I have been kind of lazy with the watering of my lawn. So how was your experience? Please share I don't think we see this type of weather too often. I do wonder how much lightning we really experienced last night...anyone?

So either my tolerance for heat is decreasing or it is getting more hot each year. I remember when summers consisted of 85 degree high and a nice storm to cool us off at the end of the day. I have a small child and this type of weather really keeps you a prisoner inside. Both of us become alive around five or six when it cools off somewhat. Colorado is beautiful but not much to do in this heat other than a cool dip at the swimming pool. And of course the fires are going to be bad this year as well. Real bummer for those of us hiker fanatics who see the beetle population kill our trees that in turn burns into ashes in no time. I don't even watch the weather anymore because I know it is going to be smokin' hot.

So it was sad to hear that yet another young teen has passed on in a car accident. Why do I care? Well I went to the same high school and during my four years I never had to deal with such news in our school or Pomona or Broomfield high. I do believe that teens today are unfortunately distracted by technology, and have great examples to follow like Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Nichole Ritchie and few more. It is irritating to even allow these people to have any air time considering that millions of teenage girls and even boys are fantasizing about being just like them. I don't mean to stretch the facts, the young girl was text messaging when she crashed into the semi truck that took her life away. And simple matter of fact is that she has probably heard many times from other adults that text messaging or really doing anything other than driving is not safe. But how do we convince teens that truly they are not invincible, or that Paris Hilton and the rest of the drunk pack are not what a young woman should aspire to? Ahhh all I can say is my prayers are with the girl's family.
